ST Carrie Fisher (Leia) in Episode VII (Sad News posted on Page 269)

Oh my god, she looks so freakin' great! I mean, that's *Leia*, guys!

I'm so excited for this movie. Every time something drops, I think: "Wow! I couldn't be more excited for this movie!" Then something *else* drops, and I'm like OMGOMGOMG *runs around like chicken with head cut off*

 

Leia's new hairstyle is so elaborate I can't even make heads or tails out of the styling.

Folks being worried over a blurry, low res shot from a test shoot was hilarious. Is if that has anything whatsoever to do with the final image in a film.

 

Carrie looks fantastic!

 

This is great. I'm a bit the same, but in between the moments of excitement I go into a trough of 'don't get too excited', before then seeing the next thing and getting really excited again!

 

Anybody notice how she looks like her mother on that one?

What's also great about that very brief glimpse is the body language- that is Leia, it's like she woke Leia up and there she is.

 

I love Luke, but that image is so spot on. It's sweet Carrie and Harrison play that up.

 

One thing I realized is Carrie Fisher does the best duck faces!

 

I'll admit I didn't like the Costume leak photo but the actual shot of her in the scene she looks so wise and in control. Also the reel proves the lightsaber handoff scene is definitely her. Which means the scene at the fire with R2 is definitely Luke too.

 

Carrie looks amazing and I LOVED seeing her and Harrison 'together again' on the Comic Con stage.

Any spoilers or new rumors leaked about the status of Han and Leia's relationship?

 

Leia looks like Leia. I love it!

 

Finally registered here. Huge Han and Leia fan. And Ford and Fisher fan on top of that.

Basically tears of joy just seeing Fisher pulling this off, and looking fantastic.

And I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but notice there is a sizable ring on her finger!

Not sure how the final film will be colored, seeing as this is just a BTS shot, but the hair color in this shot looks pretty close to her shade in some TESB stills, which I am only now recognizing was not dark brunette and uniform throughout:

 

Yeah, Carrie always had light brown hair. And with the light hitting it, golden hues would appear. Obviously the braids and bun are pieces and extensions, it's still a match to her then current hair. I think it was always because of the lighting and the thickness of the hair being piled on top of one another, it always is assumed and gives the impression that it's much darker.

Over the months of reading on the speculation, I just thought it would appear to be fading brown with the gold highlights, grey peaking through.

I think she's going to look really good, and also surprise a lot of people.

I keep telling myself its going to suck, just so I'm not disappointed. But then I get excited again for the film I've waited decades for.

 

Yes, Leia...I mean, Carrie...I mean Leia...I mean, well, anyway, she does look great in that picture, and I am now very excited about seeing her in the film and hearing her give an electric charge to whatever lines she's given. (It's about time--I had almost forgotten about her amidst all the other cast)

 

I don't think they wear wedding rings in the GFFA. Jimmy Smits never wore one, and his character was definitely married. My guess is that the ring has more to do with Leia's office/position.

Even now, we're still not sure about Leia's hair color, lol. It almost looks like a combo of blonde and brown, with a little grey thrown in at the edges. Either way, she looks marvelous!
