She ignored the verbal jab and stepped back as instructed, as she eyed the rakata. Tuon La took a small comfort in the fact that Elco was vested in protecting his investment. After all, should anything untoward happen to her, he would have an exceedingly difficult time getting paid for this job. She had to admit at being surprised by the rakata's presence, perhaps this was the one she…well, sensed, for lack of a more accurate term.

"He doesn't appear to be exhibiting any hostile behavior…" Tuon La observed. She didn't know if the rakata could understand them, though it was clear they could not understand him, or more accurately, she could not. Elco seemed better suited for this encounter.

"KD-777 could administer a sedative if necessary..." Came her sudden suggestion "...But try to communicate with him, I don't wish him harmed. Show him the tablet, perhaps he can tells us more about it."

Tuon La's voice had that intrigued tone again, the one that indicated a high level of interest. She had considered scanning the alien with her medical scanner, but thought better of it as she did not want anything misinterpreted as hostility from their part. However, Elco's mind seemed to be on his weapon.

"Do not harm him." Tuon La repeated. "We are not in the business of extinction here…this is a real living rakata……"

The kaminoan's mind was suddenly filled with a plethora of possibilities and ramifications, but forced herself to remain focused on the moment.

"Ask him, if he's hungry, or how old is he, what is this place…." She went on, trying to find useful things to suggest.

How she wished she had brought along a protocol droid as well, but it was necessary to bring only that which was essential for their journey. A protocol droid was not in the 'essential' list of things.

"The tablet. Show it to him…"

So 'The Exiles' were Rakatan. That was still not conclusive, but that detail did not matter as much as the knowledge she sought. This one might know something of it, or the planet, and wether the flora and fauna were natural and indigenous…or manipulated.

Tuon La's slender fingers moved in graceful waving patterns, an outward sign of her growing excitement. They were so close. She could feel it. But they couldn't rush things, that much she knew.

"Go on…" she coaxed her partner, and silently watched for whatever happened next.

A Rakata who was not dangerous. Well, they were reasonable if legends were to be believed, but not necessary peaceful.

"Akana kata mata?" elco tried to talk, assuming he spoke out nothing that made any sense. Rakata relied heavy on the right pronounciation of words, something he was unable to really do. "Akana pa!"

The Rakata stared at him for a moment and then he turned and spit out a few words. "Yava kawaaaaah kawa!" And he began to walk away from the ruin, straight and without second thinking he seemed to go somewhere, not just wander of.

"I think he just said something like 'follow me souls'." Elco raised his brows again. He did that a lot hte last few minutes. "Let me guess, you will follow him, right?"

"Let me guess, you will follow him, right?"

It wasn't often that Tuon La cocked her head, for it was a sign of abject incredulity. As a scientist, she was able to determine the reason for most things that happened around her, either through logistics or some other convention. Elco's question caused her to momentarily wonder if he'd suffered some sort of short term memory loss.

"No guesswork necessary. Yes, we will follow him." She said in no uncertain terms. Tuon La took a few steps towards their rakatan guide after she bid the medical droid to follow, however, she paused for a moment while still keeping the rakata in view.

"We each have our own particular treasures to find in this place, we have not come this far to give up because of an inconclusive message written on the face of an ancient, nearly illegible tableau. Everything I have strived for hinges on this moment, and I shall go forth, preferably with you…or without you if necessary, which means you forfeit on whatever is discovered. Your choice Elco."

The tall kaminoan blinked her large dark eyes three times, then gracefully turned, just in time not to lose sight of the rakata. She did not know if Elco was following her or not, but she was committed to her research and this course of action. She simply had to know if the secrets she sought, truly existed in this place, where 'The Exiles' were rumored to have ruled the galaxy through science and knowledge.

There was no turning back now.

Dammit long-necked shutta! She was running after the Rakata, as if hse was the only person in the galaxy to never have read "outdated tricks - classical traps". Elco would have bet that this creature lead them to more of his kind and they would end up as . . . dinner?

Taking his gun out he stomped after the alien. "Just to make this adamantium-clear, I will take these treasures and leave when things get too nasty. You can explore all the time you want, but I won´t die for your ambitions!"

The Rakatan was intruiging though. What had he and his brothers lived through? Why were they here? Exiled? Had Rakatan´s exiled their own? Maybe they had fled here after the uprisings?

Questions. Elco did not admit it, but deep, deep down he knew, he wanted answers as bad as Tuon wanted them.

It took her some time to learn the particular lesson, but Tuon La had learned it. Risks and sacrifices were necessary for true advancement, but not foolish ones. She had already risked much, and there was no turning back now. However, she had no plans of dying here either, although it did please her to hear that Elco had returned to his senses.

As usual, she ignored his petty jabs.Well…some of them.

"Adamantium happens to be an opaque substance, not translucent." She corrected as a matter-of-fact.

Once she saw that he had produced his blaster and now had it in hand, she nodded her silent agreement. She knew full well the implications of this and did not object. It was clear that the two of them had their fundamental differences, but in the end, the qualities that brought them together were probably just as strong.

Tuon La made sure the medical droid illuminated their path as they followed the rakata, and did her best to remain alert for anything at all. She did not show it outwardly, but her excitement and expectation grew with each step she took toward the unknown, and possible discovery.

    IT
    Jungle . . . Future . . . Present . . . who actually knows?

“Oh, I am afraid I won´t make it so easy for you. Every action has consequences, I learned that a long time ago. Did you, Han Solo? I guess not.” Vars pushed Han away and allowed his body to smash against the next nearby tree. Han felt dizzy, confused, loosing orientation. “Your presence here means something, you know? Every one of you was never meant to be here. Every one of you was never meant to stay here. But through your arrogance and futile attempt to resist me you have doomed yourself . . . and with that your friends.” The voice was now a hissing in Han´s head, not leaving Vars mouth anymore. Maybe it was IT´s true voice . . .

And suddenly Han was no longer on the planet. He was in the midst of a snowstorm. It was cold, but that was only a numb realization, because Han did not freeze. He wasn´t truly there, he knew that. Luke was there, though. Luke was lying right at his feet.

He did not breathe anymore. He was dead.

“Nobody there to safe him, I am afraid. You will be sweating under this very sun, trying to survive when this happens. But well, he only froze to death. Nothing compared to . . . “

Chewbacca. Han saw suddenly Chewie in a hangar which had once been frozen over mostly, but now was burning and full of dead rebels. Snowtroopers in white armor entered it now in small platoons. Chewie had his bowcaster, standing on top of the falcon which was obviously nowhere near ready to fly. He fired once, twice, but the Storntroopers were too many. A few dead meant nothing to them. And once the returned fire Chewbacca managed to stay on his feet even after they had hit him twice. It was the third shot to his chest that made him collapse. With a last howl his life ended on top of his beloved ship. Han knew what Chewbacca was howling. It was Han´s name in Wookiee.

“He will survive only a few hours longer than your friend.”

Han shifted once more, helpless to do anything but watch. And now he was in a dark room smelling of metal and death. A gnarling laughter came from above and the humming of a lightsaber filled the room. Leia was there, standing over Lord Vader who was lying on the ground his arm severed, his torso pierced. But it was not the layer anymore he knew . . .

“I know you want to, I know you have to.” The voice came from the throne, were only to yellowish glowing eyes revealed a dark presence. There was a dark ecstasy in the voice, as it spoke to Leia.
“If not to save yourself, then at least for . . . Alderaan.”

And Leia raised her red lightblade and hissed out air. “Yes.” Was all she said and Vader´s scream was drowned in the laughter of the Emperor . . .

“But she, she will survive. She will have a very long, very life. Long enough to betray every ideal, every dream she ever had and turn the galaxy to ashes . . . “

Han´s return to the normal reality was painful, but the bright light left little doubt he was back on the planet.

“The future you choose. For you. For your friends. I tried to help you.” Vars was kneeling right in front of him now, his voice was human again. He spoke through his mouth. A said smiled played around his thin, dead lips. “I did warn you. Your actions will have consequences.”

    Count Elzo, Lisa
    Jungle

They went through the jungle in silence, not speaking, not ever letting their guard down. Anora was off hunting, Lorn was gone. No more shots were heard from behind. And slowly, but steady they arrived in the quadrant on Anora´s map that had been marked as the “meeting point”.

“Nobody here, yet.” The count said. Not criticizing anything, he had just hoped for an army to give him some feeling of security. But then Cece saw something.
The eyes needed a moment to distinguish it from the green background. The jungle had made a great job of integrating it, but on second look there was no doubt. It was real and it was there . . .

    The Hooded Man, The Mandalorian
    Battleground Jungle

The Mandalorian never pushed the trigger. Instead he was ripped of his feet and pushed into the next tree so hard his spine shattered from the impact. He fell to the ground dead and did not move anymore. Lorn, in pain and barely conscious anymore saw a hooded figure appear above him. His lightsaber, still in his hand moved through the air into the figures hand and from the darkness of the hood she seemed to stare down at him. Finally she turned.

“You are dying.” A male voice stated the fact as simple as it was. Then the hooded man began to walk. “Follow me.” That was all he said and he seemed to be certain Lorn would find the strength to do so.
    He actually did.

    Han
    The Jungle

Han's breathing was slow and shallow as he winced against the pain that seemed to be radiating from every nerve in his body. IT knew how to dish out the torture...and it wasn't just physical pain. Mentally, he was a wreck. He swore he would never let it happen, but somehow, IT had broken through his defenses and managed to hit him where it hurt most - his friends.

The sight of Luke lying face down on some frozen wasteland, of Chewie being pelted repeatedly with laser blasts - and the worst of all - Leia, unlike the princess he had known, lost and consumed by some dark force played over and over in his mind. Even blinking and holding his eyes shut to the point of physical pain did nothing to erase those images. Luke didn't deserve to go out like that, Chewie would forever believe that he had been betrayed and Leia...

Clenching his teeth, Han struggled to lift up his head to glance into the dead man's face. He stared into the lifeless eyes for a long moment, digesting the words IT had said, before parting his chapped lips to speak. "One," he uttered, the words coming out weak and hoarse. "One...l-last chance. You said we were...never meant to be here. And...couldn't leave because we...resisted." An almost maniacal smile came over his features. What else did he have to lose? If he continued to resist, he would be dead, anyway. He would rather die trying to save the others. "Well, I-I ain't resisting...not anymore."

He closed his eyes and allowed his head to rest against the ground once more, a sign of defeat...and submission. "C'mon...g-give me one more chance."

    The Rakata
    The Jungle

They followed the Rakata quickly, having a hard time to keep up with him. He ran and it was obvious he knew where he was running, but finally after half an hour of running he arrived near the hills they had seen when they approached their landing spot.

Right before them was a rift in the stone. Small, to small to get through. But it was there and it lead to caves beyond this opening. Stones still crumbled from this opening as if it had just opened. Grass had been pushed aside, a tree had fallen. Obviously this had opened just before they came here. But the marking of the stone revealed, that this stone had once been worked on by conscious beings. As if they had used it to seal something.

The Rakata turned to Tuon La and pointed towards the opening as if he wanted to say that it was what they had been looking for. KD-777 arrived even before the hesitating Elco was there. The Rakata gave it a look and then pointed again to the rift. “Master, we will not fit through this opening.” KD-777 stated, as if he had just revealed something not so obvious.

When Elco finally arrived he was simply overwhelmed. It was hard to say by what or who, but something menacing was radiating from this place and only he could perceive it . . .

It did not help that the sun was setting incredibly quick now. Days were short and they ended quickly.

For an entire half hour, the single burning thought that kept the kaminoan scientist in constant locomotion, and quite literally from collapsing unto the dank floor like a battle droid struck down by an errant gungan booma, was her ardent desire to see her ambition realized.

By the time they reached their destination, Tuon La wanted nothing more than to throw herself upon the green grassy floor. Her entire body ached, and her chest felt almost on fire as she found herself near hyperventilation and exhaustion. Her posture was slumped and her head bowed, very much resembling a heavy stone attached to a bending reed; sweat dripped from her forehead. Kaminoans were not made for running. Well, at least she was not.

"K….KD…777. A stim….administer…a stim, stat!" She finally managed to rasp between ragged breaths. She felt terribly undignified, but she was past caring at this point. Such things no longer mattered. The medical droid. He would revitalize her.

KD-777 complied with Tuon La's request as it prepared a stim-hypo and administered it at the base of her neck. Tuon La closed her eyes as she took in a breath. Relief coursed through her limbs as aches suddenly vanished, the burning sensation within her chest was now but a memory.

    "Ah, so much better."

Tuon La exhaled now, opening her eyes and feeling more like herself. Only now did she notice their location in much greater detail. A massive wall of stone stood before them, and a rift seemed to have opened, for small stones still crumbled from the opening. Tuon La glanced at the grass which was pushed aside and the fallen tree. They looked quite fresh, as all indicated that this opening was extremely recent, and quite likely occurred just before their arrival.

    This was simply extraordinary.

The annoying Rakata pointed towards the opening. Tuon La drew closer as she examined the stone surface, then peered in, but found that she could see nothing. "KD-777, illuminate the opening."

The medical droid complied, but not much could be seen, as the rift was quite small and too narrow for even the slender kaminoan to make it through, however, the long-necked scientist thought to have perceived caves beyond the opening. Tuon La blinked three times. They had come so far, just to face such an obstacle?

"Master, we will not fit through this opening." KD-777 observed.

"At least not at the moment." She corrected. There was no way she would let this obstacle stand between her and her ambition, Tuon La was determined to find a way in.

Sound and motion behind her herald the arrival of Elco. Tuon La didn't even turn around to see him.

"These markings, are they also Rakatan?" she asked evenly, even as she pondered the puzzle in front of them. "If so, what do they say, is there a secret entrance or panel?"

A shift in ambient light caused the kaminoan scientist to look up. The sun was setting incredibly fast. Tuon La's head waved slightly upon her long neck. This was a very rare sign of agitation. If it was possible to take refuge inside the cave, she would, but it looked as if they'd have to have the ship pick them up. That was not a choice she was ready to entertain at the moment.

"If you fire your weapon there…" She said now, pointing a long and slender hand to a spot at the top of the rift, where crumbling pieces of rock could still be seen. "Maybe you can cause a change reaction, and the hole could grow larger. What do you think?"

Not hearing an immediate answer, Tuon La finally turned halfway around to see what was delaying Elco.

    Jungle

Cece was quiet as they walked through the jungle in silence. It was creepy. There were no sounds behind them anymore. No shooting. Anora was gone. Lorn was gone. But Cece, the Count and the Twi'lek Lisa kept on going, as they peered throught the junge for anything that might be threating. But nothing jumped out at them. Cece held on to herdatapad, and followed the coordinates given. The point on Anora´s map that had been marked as the “meeting point”. The soon
    reached to spot.

“Nobody here, yet.” The Count said. Cece nodded, as she scanned the area. "That might be a good thing.." she whispered softly, but didnt bother to explain her comment. She stopped. But then, she noticed something. Maybe it was a glint of an off color. Or maybe just luck. Cece stepped forward, staring.

The eyes needed a moment to distinguish it from the green background. The jungle had made a great job of integrating it, but on second look there was no doubt. Cece pointed, in the direction of the building. "It kinda looks almost like some type of observation building. It's blended in so well with the jungle. That, or its just REALLY overgrown." she added as she looked around. Cece looked over at both the Count and Lisa. "So, do we take the straight approach, or circle round, to see what kinda 'friends' might be there? Cece shrugged her shoulders. "Im sure you know which one I rather do, but It's your call." Cece added, as she looked about for any type of movements that might come from the jungle.

    Lorn
    Jungle

Was his life saved? No, it was probably more a prolonging of his suffering. Thewounds were mortal, he knew that. Even stranger it was he found the strength to stand up, also he was shaky on his feet. Coughing he even managed to stumble after his saviur into the jungle, strangely feeling it was right thing to do before dying. What else could he do? Fin peace? there was no peace in Lorn of Lorsai. He was a freature forged in the fire of war, bound to darkness and doomed to end in madness. Did he regret that? Certainly? These two days in this strange world of the future had changed a lot, more than he had expected he ever could change. But the basic fact kept being true. He was doomed. It had been a matter of time and finally his time had come.

Death was going to take him.

"Where?" There was no more strength to ask a question but that. Where were they going? Were was the faceless hooded man bringing him to?

He felt it was . . . a bad idea to be here. Not only on this forlorn planet, but especially here.

"Wait a second, yes?" Elco raised his hand and waved the drid away. "This is a big stone in front of a cave. It is growing dark. We got a Rakata who lead us here, no direspect, but these guys aren´t actually known for honesty and friendliness. Listen, I don´t say we blow this stone up. What I do say is that we have no idea if it is there too keep us out or something in there. And if it´s the second we cannot fight in dim light or at night. Okay? As the guy who is doing security here, I´d say let´s wait for daybreak. First light I´ll get some charges and blow you a hole into it, professionally. Okay?"

Looking at the droid and the Rakata he finally sighed. "Maybe we keep an eye on it though. I´ll suggest . . . " We run! We leave the planet and never come back! " . . . the droids get´s our tents and we camp here, tonight."

She was almost surprised at herself as she did stop to consider Elco's words. As a scientist, besides being personally ambitions, it was also her duty to remain objective, especially with unfamiliar situations. That's what she'd hired Elco for.

And in this instance, her overly cautious partner was right.

It was growing dark at an alarming rate, and to be perfectly honest, they were ill-prepared to venture into any caves, environmentally speaking.

"We'll return to the ship." Tuon La said decisively, as she took a look around. "I am not fond of camping either way." she admitted.

Producing a communicator, she opened a channel.

"Asra, could you pick us up…a.s.a.p."

As she waited for a response from the pilot, the kaminoan scientist regarded the rakatan guide, then glanced at Elco.

"So, what do you suggest we do about him?"

"These guys are meant to be armed, are they? I don´t know if we should antagonize them by sneaking up on them, really." The Count shrugged and looked at Liza. "Wanda." She just said. The Count turned to Cece. "She agrees. Maybe we just shout, that we come in peace? To avoid any more gunfighting?" He pulled his blaster pistol into his belt and sighed.

Lights were on, which meant this station had energy. "It looks like it had been here for a while. Where does Anora know these guys from anyway?" His question seemed almost to change his mind, then he nodded. "Do you wanna do the shouting or shall I? Maybe they don´t shoot old men so easily?"

Vars kept on kneeling before Han.

"There is one more chance for both of us. But it won´t be easy, pleasant or peaceful. The easy choices you all allowed to pass. Now only the hard choices remain." He smiled. "As it has always been. Survival. All about the hard choices, is it?" And with those words Vars collapsed, finally dead.

    Follow the sun.

The hissing voice of IT echoed inside Han´s mind and it seemed more anxious, more serious then ever before.

The man lead the way through the jungle and it was obvious, he had been here before. When they finally arrived at a clearing he stopped. Through the dim perception of a dying man Lorn probablyn eeded a long moment, before he saw it. A stone plate on what looked like a stone sarcophagus. And on it something was written . . . carved in with a blade . . . an energy blade.

Lorn could read it, also probably he would not fully understand it.

Here lies Lorn of Lorsai, Slayer of Millions.

"You understand what this means?" The hooded man asked and the lightsaber in his hand he began to circle Lorn.

The Count turned to Cece. "She agrees. Maybe we just shout, that we come in peace? To avoid any more gun fighting?" He pulled his blaster pistol into his belt and sighed.

Cece mulled his comments over. Yeah, he was probably right. And right now, trying to explain to folks while in the middle of a gun battle would not be - good. "Ok. Fine with me.", Cece replied. But she didnt trust these guys. She scanned the area. Lights were on, which meant this station had energy. "It looks like it had been here for a while. Where does Anora know these guys from anyway?"

Cece frowned, and then she spoke softly. "I dont know. But I DO know that I saw Imperials on the ship before all vek broke loose." she told the Count. If she was involved with them, no telling." The Count seemed to consider this, then he nodded. "Do you wanna do the shouting or shall I? Maybe they don´t shoot old men so easily?"

Cece grinned, as she pulled out the communication set that Anora gave her. "I better do it." she stated as she looked at the device. She then gave a thought. She dug into her bag, and hit a switch on her equipment. It would disguise itself to look like a normal computer. No hacking software. Nothing unusual. She took the strange datapad, and 'attached' it to her computer, before closing the bag once more. She figured, if these guys let her in, they would search them. She pulled the power cell from the unit, and slipped it into her other datapad, in a storage area. She then put her stuff together, and closed her up pack. She gave a deep sigh.

"Well, I hope they into listening before shooting. If they do shoot me, .... well, heck, I dont know what to tell ya."

With that, Cece took the communication set, and stepped out into the open. "Uh...Hello?!" she called out, looking towards the building that was in front of her. "Anyone in there?" Cece looked around. "Um.. We were with Anora." She held up the communications set. Criffin! she hated this! It felt too much like saying, SHOOT ME, in her mind. "She told us to come here...." she then paused. Hopefully, Cece saying WE would let them know there were others nearby. Hopefully, that counted for something. But right now, she looked for any movements whatsoever. And she hoped that the jungle had not eaten Anora's friends as well. If they didnt respond, Cece would start walking forward again, unless she saw motion or anything else that would tell her to stop.

This was almost too easy. Cece thought to herself.

"I have a bad feeling about this.." she whispered softly to herself.

    Han
    The Jungle

Hard choices? What sort of hard choices? He wanted to press IT further, but by the time he gathered enough strength to lift his head again, Vars' body was lifeless once more and IT's voice was a mere whisper at the back of his mind.

Han groaned as he returned his face to the dirt. Maybe it was for the best - maybe it was better that he didn't know what he was getting himself into. He knew he had reached the point where he didn't care what he was facing and he would do it regardless of the consequences. It was that thought that scared him...maybe just a little bit.

    Follow the sun.

It was a small whisper and it could have easily been mistaken for the wind through the trees, but Han knew better. He was effectively within IT's clutches and there would be no escape. He had sold his soul to the devil, so to speak.

Wordlessly, Han planted his hands firmly beneath him and started to push himself up from the ground. It took some time and effort, especially in his weakened state, but he eventually managed. Now swaying on his feet, he tilted his head upward and glanced at the sun with a wince. For the time being, that was his beacon - his only hope for survival and the survival of his friends.

He snapped his eyes shut quickly and turned away from the sun as the vision of Leia gnarled and twisted by the darkness started to creep back into his awareness. No matter what happened, he needed to prevent that nightmare from becoming a reality.

The hissing in his mind continued, almost mocking, as he started to put one foot in front of the other.

And prey to whatever weakling you worship as your God that it isn´t too late

A smile broke out on his face at that comment, twisted and half-delirious, as he trudged forward through the brush. Gods? What gods? It had only been him all along. He didn't need to rely on the gods.

And yet, here he was, making a pledge with some disembodied spirit that he couldn't explain. The irony wasn't lost on him and his smile only grew wider as he let out a deranged laugh.

    Lorn?
    Jungle, Tomb

He stared at the tomb. "I understand." That was all he could get out of his hurt lungs and it already came with a fine line of blood drpping down his chin.

But he understood. Lorn was dead. This was his tomb and he had died on thsi planet. It had never been an accident he ended up here, not an accident any of them happebned to end here. But whoever he was, he was not Lorn. His memories were there, fragmented and incomplete, his feeling,s even some of his power . . . but Lorn was someone else. Someone lese had fallen to the Dark Side and someone else would burn in hte fire of etrnal madness when united with the force, because his soul was too corrupted. Someone else. Lorn. Not him.

He allowed himself to go to his knees and already knew he would not rise up again. It did not matter. He owuld be one with the force, his short life would end and he would become one again . . .

"I am not Lorn." Looking up to the hooded figure he smiled and then coughed out. "But who are you?"

The great question, was it? Who was he? The final question, before Lorn the Second would lay down to die at the tomb of Lorn of Lorsai.

    The Hooded Man
    Tomb of Lorn of Lorsai

“Who I am?” The hooded man had now reached Lorn’s back and came so close that Lorn could smell his breath. “I am not Lorn, either.” And with these words the lightsaber ignited through Lorn’s chest and if he paid attention he could see his own face reflected in a small puddle in front of him . . . twice. Because the man who had just killed Lorn looked exactly like him.

And then darkness came and the pain in his chest faded away into the eternal sleep.

Welcome back, Lorn. It’s voice came into the dying mind. So amused, so triumphant . . .

    Anora Cole
    Jungle

There was laughter, there was someone running. For a second Anora forgot the Mandalorian she was hunting and instead of him she turned up her rifle at whatever lunatic came into her direction now.

But she would not have dreamt of Captain Han Solo appearing there between the leaves right in front of her, her rifle pointed at his chest like an invitation to her . . .

“Hello Solo.” She said and could not help but grin facing the irony of this situation.

    Commander Harlan, Count Elzo, Liza
    Jungle near the old Outpost

“Lay down your weapons and stay calm. There is nothing to worry about from now on.” The man had appeared from nowhere behind them. Obviously a well trained man, his grey hair and white uniform identified him as a member of the security team and obviously a senior one.

“You are now under the protection of the Galactic Empire.” He added and a Stromtrooper appeared besides him, his blaster rifle firm in his hands.

“Thank the Gods!” Elzo smiled and stood up and the rifle of the Stormtrooper immediately turned towards him. He just smiled and dropped his recently acquired blaster. “I was hoping the Empire would no leave us alone!”

He added these words and gave Cece and Liza a look that simply seemed to yell at them to play along.

    The Rakatan
    Near the Cave

What would they do with the Rakatan? “Oh shava changa!”

That was all the hammerheaded creature replied and there was something on his face, hard to read in these alien features. Anyway, the silence coming from Tuan’s communicator was alarming. Asra did not answer and the static coming from the comm. Had something strangely . . . final about them.

    Tuon La
    Sorcant, Ruins

Her big oval eyes looked at her communicator in abject disbelief. There was only static coming from the channel used to com the ship. Was Asra sleeping on the job?

    Lazy sub-species.

“Asra! Come in!” Tuon La demanded with authority, but nothing changed. unending static was her only response.

“Oh shava changa!” she heard their rakatan guide prattle on. How she wished she’d actually had the time to study the rudimentary basics of their lost language, but alas, this was not so. She had no choice but to depend on others for such things. This was a source of unspoken shame.

Elco…” The long necked kaminoan called out after a brief pause. “I believe my communicator might be malfunctioning, could you try calling the ship? Asra seems to be indisposed at the moment.”

    This was a logical assumption.

Not only was it growing dark with alarming rapidity, there was a chill in the air as well. Tuon La blinked three times. She regarded the small jagged opening on the monolithic stone before them. They had no tools to help them breach a larger entrance, as all their exploration equipment was aboard their ship. The only logical option was to return to the ship, forgoing that, they would have to build and encampment without delay.

“It seems we’ll have to build some sort of encampment after all…”

The pair didn’t have much choice in the matter, given their situation. Tuon La much preferred not to feel this exposed, especially within an unknown and uncatalogued environment, but here was very little they could do. She hated to admit it, but Elco’s role had just become a lot more crucial than she’d anticipated.

As for Asra, she was going to have a long and scathing talk with the unreliable pilot come morning.

    Cece - Celia
    Jungle near the old Outpost

“Lay down your weapons and stay calm. There is nothing to worry about from now on.”

    "AHHH!!! "

Cece nearly leaped into the nearest tree! Where had the man come from. Stepping out from unseen places behind them, while telling them to stay calm was NOT helping. He was deffinately a well trained old man, As anyone who could sneak around in a jungle in WHITE was pretty dang good. In the back of her mind, she wondered just how long he had been there. He was an important looking guy, if nothing else. What did EVERYTHING on this twice cursed planet have

“You are now under the protection of the Galactic Empire.” He added and a Stromtrooper appeared besides him, his blaster rifle firm in his hands. That feeling of not being a good idea intensified, but considering the mercs and everything ELSE on the planet, this was a less deadly choise. Or at least she sure hoped so.

“Thank the Gods!” Elzo smiled and stood up and the rifle of the Stormtrooper immediately turned towards him. He just smiled and dropped his recently acquired blaster. “I was hoping the Empire would no leave us alone!” He then looked over at Liza and her. The look on his face was obvious, and Cece sure wasnt going to argue with the man.

With a slow nod, Cece gently put her rifle on the ground as well. No use in arguring now. And right now Cece didnt have to pretend to be frightened. She was. She just wasnt sure what to be frightened more of. After the events of the last 24 hours, she had a lot to deal with, most of it still not sinking in yet. She gave a deep sigh.

"Well..that's good news. But Anora is still out there!" Cece added softly, as eyed the area around them. She had not forgotten about the Mercs, and right now, she wished they were waiting for Anora inside the building. Not being able to hold her weapon, she simply pulled her poncho tightly, and hugged her arms, trying to ignore the cold feeling she felt inside her chest. Lorn was gone. She hoped he had gone the way he wanted. Crazy dark lady was .. somplace else. She even missed Elois right now. But she had not forgotten about the temple. And the need to turn off the machine. She looked up at these guys once more. How had THEY gotten here? And for how long? Could they leave the planet without any problems? Or were they stuck here also? Cece shook slightly, as she rubbed her arms. And why were those mercs so convinced that her friend was still around? Was that.....?

No! Cece didnt want to follow that train of thought, so she just stood, feeling slightly cold, as she tried to not think of Lorn. And she even hoped that Anora would make it back as well. Cece was tired. And she just simply hated simply standing around. But it was better than running.

    Wasnt it?

    Lorn or not Lorn
    Tomb of Lorn of Lorsai

A short burning pain. Then all faded into white.

The last thing he ever was . . . was himself, staring back at him, to see how he looked at himself, while he killed . . . himself . . .

Things certainly had not become clearer.

That was his last thought. Or was it . . . ?

For reasons he could not explain himself he neither felt fear, frustration, satisfaction or . . . any sense of finality.

This was not over. This was not over by a long shot.

And then he was dead . . . as he had always been . . .

    The Jungle

    Follow the sun...

Han scoffed as he trudged his way through the jungle undergrowth. He must really be losing it to be following the advice of some shapeless specter in this heat. The sweat was pooling around his forehead and dripping into his face by this point and the only thing he had to keep himself moving was a warning from IT concerning the safety of Chewie, Luke and the princess. Was it even true? Who knows... Considering everything else that had happened so far on this planet, he wasn't willing to risk it...not yet, anyway.

    So, what did he do?

You sold your damn soul to the devil...

Perfect. He had to be getting way too soft to keep falling for this stuff.

    “Hello, Solo."

The voice sounded out of the quiet din of the jungle and took him totally off guard. He spun out of reflex to face the speaker and managed to stumble over a mass of vines that had gathered around his ankles in the process. The display was far from one of his finest moments and he might even have jabbed fun at the whole thing if not for the figure he saw standing there and the concern it had sparked in his mind. Anora Cole had returned and had somehow tracked him down. And worst of all? He had been oblivious to everything. He had been so wrapped up in what IT had instructed him, that he had totally neglected to take stock in his surroundings and had walked right into a trap.

A curse was his automatic response as he took note of the blaster in her grip with the barrel pointed directly at his chest. He immediately began to wonder if she had a nervous trigger finger and decided to stay on the cautious side by slowly raising his hands into the air to show that he was defenseless.

"Whoa, take it easy, huh?" he said as he tried to diffuse the situation, his voice hoarse from the trek through the jungle. The smile on her face was almost mocking and he tried not to look at it as he forced himself to continue. Was it to buy for more time? To win her over? He couldn't be sure exactly. "This is a mistake..." He drew in a deep breath and swallowed. "I think...I think we may be on the same side here."

Dammit, is that what you want?!

It was a silent call to IT, but somehow, he wasn't expecting an answer.
