am I the only who remembers John Boyega saying he hasn't received any calls from JJ when he was already cast for the role of Finn....

She could be pulling a Marvel.

 

I personally don't think there will be any new "leads" at least now for our heroes in Episode VIII. There could be a couple emerging characters that will play a heavy hand in Episode IX but Rey/Finn/Poe are the new big three and will be taking the vast bulk of screen time.

 

Of course you weren't the only one. I posted the same thing two posts above.

 

The word "lead" may be a tad misleading as we indicated before, but don't discount the idea that the next film will bring in a couple of new pivotal female characters (perhaps one on each side of the conflict). Too many sources have been indicating this for me to doubt the validity of these rumors.

Lol it's amazing how Disney is able to put the fear of God in all these actors so that they all consistently have these stammering, deer-in-the-headlights reactions when asked about things they're not supposed to talk about yet.

She was totally cast. She even admitted she'll attend the World Premiere.

 

Will be interesting to see the chemistry between her and Boyega on screen. Daisy and Boyega seem to click. The question is can she click with Boyega like Daisy has.

In the old trilogy he had just Lando addition.

 

I wonder how she fits into all this. Lando of the new trilogy? Old friend of Rey? Maybe she's a Knight of Ren?

 

Wonder about that myself. I mean it clear Rey and Finn are going to be close this movie or build a strong bond. Now a new girl comes in and is with Finn or around him. How is Rey going to feel about another lady buddying in thier realtionship.

 

Let's hope they do not do some triangle.

According to Daisy, there is no romance between Rey and Finn in VII, there may not be romance for Rey even in future episodes.

 

They might just stay friends, or they could be in a relationship. It could go either way. There's no need to worry about a love triangle. Rian is a smarter writer than that.

 

If the narrative is anything like ESB, Rey and Finn are going to spend most of film separated from one another in their own plot lines. Should be interesting to see how it all affects their friendship.
