ST Casting Rumors 2.0 - Nothing but casting rumors... or else.

That movie is still in pre-production. So, it may not be shooting until late this year. She is attached to a film "Cake" which is shooting right now. But I don't know how large her role is.

Ok, just to play "what if" I looked up info on Cake. It just started shooting on April 7th, but I'm not sure of the size of her role. She's one of the leads but it appears her scenes are told in flashback. Also this is a smallish independent film so the production schedule is likely pretty short. Assuming Abu Dhabi is a location shoot and cameras start rolling on May 14th she would probably be available by mid to late May.

You are right a lot of similarity to Carrie Fisher, but not always.

 

I really hope Carrie Fisher does NOT make those fish lips in Episode 7,every picture of her for the last 3-4 years is her making fish lips.

Do you guys think the "new young leads" will be at the breakfast? If so, that would be an awesome way to welcome them to the Star Wars family.

I'm not going to lie, it would be nice, but both my gut and the specific wording of "classic cast members" have me thinking maybe this could be the unofficial official confirmation for Mark, Carrie and Harrison.

But who knows? It could be anything, really. Someone mentioned the possibility that this could be the unveiling of Disney's plans for SW in it's theme parks, and I can't say that something like that would surprise me, either.

I mean jeez, are we certain that they've even made up their minds about who to cast for the three new leads yet?

 

Lurknomore: Who knows? George had young Anakin's final screen test and introduced the three finalists to Natalie over breakfast.

 

If I had to bet money? I would say yes.

 

You'd think so.

The truth is, with the start of principal so close, I'd have thought the choices would have been finalized long before now, but then we heard recently that casting in Universities was still taking place (oh, and that "five finalists for the male lead" thing, too).

I can't speak to the veracity of any of those reports, but I will say that when I read them, I threw up my hands and decided that as much as I've tried to keep on top of this, I really have no clue.

 

Desperate times call for desperate measures. On May 5 we have permission to go off the chain, but not quite yet.

Speaking of which, in the first week of May, could we create a new thread that is completely dedicated to the frustration and mystery behind why the cast hasn't been revealed? It keeps this thread somewhat on target (seems impossible at this point) and also creates an outlet for people to talk about conspiracies, evil doings of the new Lucasfilm, and all the debates that go behind the lack of casting.

 

I'm on board, jedijax! Let the rabblerousing begin! (On May 5th, Mods, on May 5th!) Till then...um...how 'bout them casting rumors...
