In all seriousness, I really don't know anything about this Jack Reynor guy, but the report sounds pretty legit. Also, with film this close to shooting I have a feeling the most recent rumors are probably the ones more likely to pan out (Gary Oldman, Hugo Weaving, Jesse Plemons, etc...), but who knows.

 

Well the radar was raspberry, so strawberry should still be an option.

Every day another big cast is reveal for another movie and every day I wonder what the hold up on revealing VII casting?

 

Quite simple. They are sticking to their plan

 

Because they are in:

- story troubles
- script troubles
- casting troubles
- legal troubles
- double troubles

And therefore:

- the movie is doomed
- the movie is totally doomed
- the cast is doomed
- the cast is domed
- huh?

 

Well at least one cast member is domed:

 

Don't think it's doomed. Just bored by the lack of news.

 

Was something else released today?

 

The Fantastic Four

 

They've choreographed a release of one Star Wars Rebels character per day all week. They aren't going to step on that publicity with EP VII news.

 

Technically, that was yesterday.

 

Now it’s clearer than ever that they want to do what Fox has just done with Fantastic Four and announce everyone together.

 

We're approaching March which is supposedly the Big 3's return to training (or whatever it is), so news has bound to be coming soon...

...right?

 

Nope

 

In perspective, in no more than 3 months we will know A LOT of stuff. We are almost there.

 

So there's still a remote possibility that Saoirse Ronan may be in SW since she won't be in FF.

But remember, there's a 6-7 month difference between the movies whose casts are being revealed and SW. Summer 2015 movies are announcing their casts. Superman/Batman is an exception, but that's because it was going to be released in summer 2015 but got delayed for other reasons. The cast was being set as if it were a summer 2015 release.

They are SO waiting for May-July to reveal the cast after the big superhero push is over.

Also remember that even less is known about Mission Impossible 5 or even James Bond 24.

 

I really don't think they'd wait till July to announce the cast....by then they will have been filming for 1.5-2 months and everyone will know who's in it anyway....

The latest I see them doing it is early May, before filming starts...

 

When does Disney's Star Wars Weekends roll out this year? May?

Yep, while I'd love to get the cast announcement(s) sooner than that, it wouldn't exactly shock me if this is when and where it all goes down.

 

Well filming is supposedly starting on the 18th of May...or is it the 19th...not sure...

So that would gel. They might announce them during the first weekend...

It seems like the most logical choice....but then again we thought they were going to announce the cast that time last year....lol
