Castle: New Episode Tonight

This past episode was a lot of fun!

Sounds like it could be pretty interesting.

 

This was a really fun episode. Keep 'em coming!

 

I liked the way they handled Castle's and Beckett's dates, it was clever. I half-expected them to be predictable and try and match them up by the evening's end.

 

I dunno, after last week's episode, this one just seemed to pale a bit. Still was fun, as always.

So a hotshot FBI profiler (Dana Delany, all brassy and cool) barges onto a crime scene and takes over. (Has anyone done a YouTube compilation of scenes in which cops argue over who has jurisdiction? I'd watch it!) Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) digs the profiler just enough to irritate Beckett. But by the cliff-hanger they've got bigger problems. Their pain is our gain. A-?Jeff Giles"

The cliff-hanger was evil. Even though we all knew what we thought happen really didn't, it was still pure evil.

 

Yep. Doesn't mean that it wasn't enjoyable tv, though.

 

Renewed for S3 already! HUZZAH!

Also, I totally called the cast-iron bathtub since I'm a die-hard NYer!

 

That's good news! Castle is a good show; Nathan Fillon is great.

 

Me too! Well, not the NYer part, but I knew they lingered on her shower/tub too long, and the only way she really could have survived was if she had one. Though she probably would be a lot more scraped up than she was.

"Castle prides itself on bringing the funny. But this topical chat-show-wars-themed ep plays the murder of a late-night host (guest star Tom Bergeron) way too straight. Especially given that the mighty Fred Willard is on hand to play his sidekick, Bill Bellamy cameos as his Conan-like successor, and Dan Cortese pops by as his network president. (Okay, that casting is comical.) Luckily, the B story line, Castle being romanced by an actress (Nip/Tuck's Kelly Carlson) who wants a role in his Nikki Heat movie, does garner laughs.
