I think LA has it for the next several years because they signed a contract with the LA convention center.

I'm actually hoping for another "paralel" Celebration, in Europe. CE2 FTW!!! :D

I don't think there's any way they could not have a CE2, given how successful the first one was.

Last I heard CV has not been ok'd by LFL. But if (or should I say when) it happens, it will more than likely be in LA.

The original idea was to hold CIV, V, & VI at the same venue, but now LFL might be changing their mind or might just stick with LA.

I heard CIV and CV were the ones that were supposed to get bundled together because of contractual obligations. It's all speculation at this point, though.

Well, for me, if in L.A.. I will not be there. I enjoyed LA but was too pricy to get there. I have heard by several folks, that it may be a east coast event for CV. Anyone heard of that rumor yet? Indy just had so much more to offer in food and hotels that were close. LA Convention center was so huge it did away for most lines and crowds.

Living here in NY, I would love for C5 (and any other future SW Celebrations) to be held on the east coast.

But regardless of the location, I will be there. LFL could hold a SW Celebration in Guam, and I would make the trip in a heartbeat.

Living in NY, I do not want C5 on the east coast, because it's a fine excuse to go somewhere I haven't been before. How about Hawai'i? :p

Nahhh, less $$$ spent on travel = more $$$ to spend on all the goodies at the con! ;)

Sansweet did seem to float out the IDEA of c5 in 2009 in LA at his meet and greet at C4. And having celebrations every two years but as with all Star Wars news, it isn't official till it's official. So we'll all just have to sit this one out and wait and see.

Why doesn't Ahmed Best do any coventions? Do you guys really hate jar jar that much that you don't invite him?

I would totally be down for Orlando or Indy. Not to big of a fan of LA. It was fun but something a little closer to home. Just my .02

When I was at CIV, I was speaking with one of the vendors who said that it would be held in Orlando to give the East Coast and European fans some break in cost.

    Know what?

Take a look at all the conventions for Midwest/East Coasters. There's WAY more than down here in Cali. Everyone 'over there' gets DragonCon, GenCon, and dosens upon dosens of others. Yearly. Small, but great in numbers. And what do we get down here? ComicCon and maybe two small cons. That's it.

I know there are all these complaints about 'don't put it there 'cause it'll be farther from me', but look at all the other conventions you could go to. You guys get variety.

Keep CV in Cali. Keep Star Wars 'home'. [face_peace]

That may be true, but the previous four celebrations have been on the out west. I think its time to bring star wars to NYC!

I would have to agree, keep SW in California, we need more cons here.

QFT. Indiana's a good 3 hour plane ride east.

Did the vendor state this as fact or as speculation?

Star Wars Action News 135 for March 24 2008

About halfway thru a regular listener/reporter for SWAN reports from JediCon with news on Celebration V...Steve Sansweet said a a presentation its very very very likely C5 will happen in 09, in the midwest, Chicago is being eyed as the venue. :D
