I wonder when a real schedule will be available. I looked around the celebration news and so far they have two costume contests (because they said they need two to accomodate everyone) and collector stuff and so on...but sounds kind of boring so far. Just registered tonight. Still don't know what days exactly I'll be able to be there. Hopefully Fri. - Sun.

Is this for the Master Replicas party? If you are on the waiting list I wonder who is actually going. You are more on top of things than anyone I've ever known. Very strange. Who exactly could be attending this elusive party anyway?

According to Anne at OfficialPix, the final programming schedule should be out either this week, or next week at the latest. The list of items available at the Celebration store should be available about 2-3 weeks before the con.

As for the Master Replicas party, some SW celebs will be there (not sure who), but being on that historic lot would be exciting! I just want to win prizes and get free stuff! :D

To answer other questions you might have, I'll post the link to the TF.N CIV boards, where you might want to ask or find out information to questions you might have. Particularly helpful may be the threads about airport info and the convention center's info as well:

HI, guys and gals, I won't be able to go to C IV this year due to complications with my brother's health. He can't be left home alone at all for any length of time, like, just a few hours. So, I can't be gone for an entire weekend as there would be no one to take care of him.

Take lots of pics for me!!

I'll be there with you in spirit!!

I'm hoping I can still make the Comic con in July.

    Matt,
    No need to worry.
I do check it, but I believe others check as well.

As to schedule, my guess is 1st week of May.

However, there may be changes at the event. Not the first time.
Hard to believe it will be here in a month.

    END TRANSMISSION

Posted on the Rebel Legion boards:

Rebel Legion Mixer (formerly Rebel Legion Dinner)
Sunday, May 27 beginning at 6:00pm
    Westin Bonaventure Hotel

    Okay gang, here's the scoop:

The Good News: The Bonaventure has given us a very nice, affordable package and it includes a dance floor and a cash bar. The cost is $25 per person.

The Bad News: We need at least 100 people to commit to this.

Participation is open to friends, family, total strangers as long as they are accompanied by an RL member, Forum members, Jedi Assembly, FanForce, whomever. If we hit the number then we're good. If we don't hit the number then the cost will be more depending on how many sign up.

Once we look like we have our "guest list" assembled, I will post information for paying.

Please post your screenname, real name, and the number of people in your party.

For those who have special dietary needs, here is the menu:
    *Asian Veggie Spring Roll
    *Chicken Tenders
    *Swedish Meatballs
    *Mini Beef Burritos
*Chicken Quesadilla (chicken/melted cheese on folded flour tortilla)
    *Mini Crab Cakes
    *Seasonal Fruit Platter
    *Veggie Platter

The bar is a "No Host" so you will have to pay for drinks; please don't faint at the prices because the bar needs to clear at least $500 - otherwise we pay the difference.
    *soft drinks $4.25
    *mineral water $4.50
    *non-alcoholic beer $4.75
    *domestic beer $5.00
    *imported/micro-brew $5.50
    *bar selections (cocktails) $6.25
    *wine $6.50 per glass
    *champagne $7.00

Let me know if anyone is interested in this via PM or e-mail, so I can post how many can come from SFFF.

Some exclusives offered from Official Pix:

    http://www.officialpix.com/OPX/Exclusives.html

Have a great costume? Somce CIV celebrities and vendors are looking for escorts for them:

    (From the Rebel Legion boards):

Hello, I'm on the Escort Committee for Celebration 4. What we are doing is co-ordinating requests that may be made for costumed escort. This may include panels, exhibitors, and, yes, even celebrities. We have had some Rebels volunteer but we would like to expand the pool. In an effort to get this info out I am posting this to separate base boards (notably the ones closer to California ). With that in mind, please feel free to post this on base boards separate from Rebel Legion if you have them (but make sure they sign up at the main thread here on the Rebel Legion C4 board).

It's this simple: The Escort Services Committee (made up of 501st, RL, and JA members) is gathering people who want to volunteer. We've been getting requests already for Escorts (Costuming Panels, Master Replicas to name a couple!) and we're going to get more! In general, most Escorting duties will be short, probably an hour or less. We will collect a pool of volunteers, and then give as many people as possible a chance to fill the different requests. We also may get some after the convention has already started, so we'll also be creating a list of people who can be available on short notice!

Keep in mind there is no guarantee you will actually get to escort--it depends entirely on what is requested. If you are interested, post in this thread: http://rebellegion.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7843

    the following information:

    *Name:
    *TKID (if 501st):
    *RL Forum ScreenName:
    *Cell Phone #:
    *Available Costumes:
*Rate your last-minute availability at C4 (1 - not very available; 10 - available pretty much anytime):
*Post pictures of your available costumes or provide links. Photos must be up to date.

Due to the possible high-profile nature of these moments we do need to see up-to-date pictures of canon-level costumes.

(Note: Volunteering for Escort Duties does NOT count toward GenCon volunteering hours.)

So if you're looking for something extra to do at C4, give this a try and make a great experience even greater!

    A Conversation with Carrie Fisher
    Saturday, May 26
    9:00 PM
Concourse Stage, Los Angeles Convention Center

Fans at Celebration IV can join actress Carrie Fisher for an intimate evening on Saturday, May 26th. Fisher, who portrayed the beloved Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, will share memories and anecdotes from her experiences with Star Wars, in stories told as only Carrie Fisher can tell them. Without a script, without an emcee, the evening promises to be a one-of-a-kind conversation, filled with witty and candid insight and memories. Fans of the Star Wars movies, and fans of Fisher's work in the movie, television, and publishing arenas, will not want to miss this opportunity to hear from one of the actors who has been part of the Star Wars story since the beginning.

Tickets to A Conversation With Carrie Fisher are available exclusively to registered pass holders for Celebration IV. Admission to Fisher's appearance is $15 and seating is limited. Tickets are for sale on Gen Con's registration web site:

http://registration.gencon.com/celebration/. Hurry! Online registration ends Monday, April 30!

One-Time-Only Preview of Fanboys at Celebration IV!

Fans will meet Fanboys on Friday, May 25, when those attending the Star Wars party of a lifetime will have the chance to be the first to see sequences from the upcoming Weinstein Company's Star Wars-themed comedy.

The one-time-only presentation, only for those attending Celebration IV, is scheduled for Friday afternoon in the Celebration Theater at the Los Angeles Convention Center. A special panel discussion with the movie's creators will follow on Saturday, May 26 on the Concourse Stage.

In Fanboys, director Kyle Newman presents an uproarious comedy that follows a group of young friends on a cross-country quest to break into Skywalker Ranch and see Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace before it is released. It stars Sam Huntington (Superman Returns), Chris Marquette (Joan of Arcadia), Dan Fogler (the upcoming Kung Fu Panda) and Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars).

As a special bonus, Weinstein Co. has also created a unique comic book, that follows the characters' obsessive love of Star Wars, and tells a story of their friendship leading up to the events of the movie. The comic will be offered to fans as a first-opportunity, limited edition at Celebration IV.

In addition to Newman and Perniciaro, several members of the Fanboys cast are expected to attend Celebration IV, pending production schedules for the popular young actors.

"Family Guy" Creator Seth MacFarlane at Celebration IV!
Special Star Wars Episode Sneak Peek

Seth MacFarlane, the creator and executive producer of the Fox hit animated series, "Family Guy," is scheduled to appear at Star Wars Celebration IV. MacFarlane, recognized as one of the youngest artists ever to create a television series, also voices many of the show's most beloved characters, including Peter, Stewie, Quagmire, and Brian.

This fall, MacFarlane and Fox will air a special one hour "Family Guy episode that's a tribute to the Star Wars Saga as unique as only MacFarlane and his talented team of writers can make it. Fans at Celebration IV will be treated to a first look at parts of the episode, called Blue Harvest, and will have the opportunity to hear about it from MacFarlane and members of his team.

MacFarlane and the writers of the show have often riddled "Family Guy" with Star Wars references, but the coming episode will be all about the galaxy far, far away . . . from a "Family Guy" point of view. Joining MacFarlane on stage will be "Family Guy" Executive Producer David A. Goodman, Director Dominic Polcino, and writer Alec Sulkin. The group will talk about their experiences creating the show, as well as the upcoming Star Wars episode. After their onstage interview, it will be the audience's turn to speak up in a special question and answer session.

For those who would like to make a double-sided Fan Force name badge for CIV, follow the instructions on this link:

    http://www.johnrosevideography.com/c4nametags.html

Simply print color copies (do not use photo paper) of both sides of the badge, print your username, real name and "San Francisco Fan Force" in the blank space. Laminate them back to back, leaving a one-inch space above the badge. Cut a hole above the badge to put a lanyard and trim the top off.
