just got home earlier this afternoon and had such a great time!eventhough all of us had our things to do we managed to spend some time for dinner and socializing. all in all c4 was okay.the store was never crowded and my only 2 complaints were that no c4 patches or pins were avaiable and i bought the ATAT track jacket a day before everything went 50% off!

 

My experience of CIV was excellent. Not too into the collecting...but many of the panels were good. Original ILMers: A+, Irvin-freaking-Kershner?: AAAAA+++++++++ (Imagine getting the opportunity to see and hear the great Kersh anywhere??? AWESOME!), Carrie Fisher: A+, seeing the movies 5-25-77 and Fanboys: A+...there is so much more.
Seeing how people from all over signed the 30th anniv. mural. The R2s were really cool. The Ewok/Endor creation by fans was really neat. It far surpassed what I thought it might look like.
I guess if you found exactly what you wanted to do and went for it, there was something for nearly everyone. I was completely non-plussed by the Celebration store. Looked like an airplane hanger with tables of merchandise placed sporadically.

That's good to hear, Anne. And to think, you were "on the fence" about going in the first place!

As for me, to quote Shindler's List, "I could've done more!" I enjoyed doing a bit of everything, although I wished I could've seen more panels. But what I get out of these Celebrations most is meeting old friends and making new ones that last for a long time. Sorry, we couldn't hang out more with each other, but I knew it would be like that - there's always something for everyone. For those who couldn't come, start saving up now for CV in 2010. You've got three years. No excuses this time.

Well it could be worse, not seeing any panels at all would have been lame. But we were definitely occupied with many things to do. Even a basher like me had a good deal of fun, I think becayse so much of it was old school centric, not PT, not SE -- but Star Wars the way I remember it.

I had a lot of fun at celebration 4. But the only complaint I had was about dave prowse. He was a real jerk. I asked to take a quick picture with him on monday and he said he didn't want to because he was done. But Ray park was awsome. He is all for the fans.

blue77 sorry about dave prowse being a jerk. i was his volunteer escort for thursday morning and he was being rude to everyone. for people who wanted to take photos with him he would tell them to hurry up (even if there was hardly any line for him). people who were off to the side wanting to snap a solo photo of him would have to be quick bc he would always look downwards and say NO PHOTOS to them. i was quite intimidated by him so i rarely talked to him. i did however get in the video taping of G4 Attack of the Show when they had the autograph segment. they were filming dave and i got on tv since i was next to him.

 

Matt & Dale it was nice to meet you guys while I was at the front of the Anthony Daniels autograph line Thursday morning.

I have met Prowse a few times. He is ALWAYS a jerk!

 

i tried to be nice and courteous to dave but he just wouldnt return the favor. to be honest i had a better time with felix silla (the ewok!). much more delighted to be at c4 than dave prowse.

 

Amy Allen was nice too, and so were Daniel Logan, Temeura Morrison, and Ray Park.

 

Oddly enough Dave Prowse was very friendly during the weekend I did the antiquities appearance with him last year.

 

dave was prolly nice when he was in san fran bc there weren't as many ppl.i'll see if he remembers me when he comes back. i totally agree with amy allen and daniel logan. i've been chatting with them for years since they started conventions at san diego. daniel personally remembers me because back when he was visiting the Ranch my highschool mate was his tourguide. my friend was rich macullum's associate. when i visited the Ranch i got to sit in Rick's chair!!
