Did you know that race car is race car spelled backwards?
It's called a pallendrome dude... Here's another:
A man a plan a canal panama. Meaning Teddy Roosevelt and the creation of the Panama Canal of course.
Agreed, let's drink and be merry!
*Double Thumbs Up*
Glad we're cool.
Worst case: Convention lines get too annoying and you have to slide over to Disneyland or Universal.
Other than the long holiday lines there, I don't see a problem with that, heh.
Said this a dozen times, wish the ComicCon people were running this, they handle three times CIII with style and grace.
LA I can even drive to! I may actually be able to go to this one! And take Adam along, too!
REGISTRATION BEGINS OCT. 30, 12 pm PST:
Missing you today, Chanel.
I'm personally on the fence about renewing my hyperspace membership. At C3 I used the friends and family passes from members and didn't feel I missed anything by not being a member. Maybe those people in the group who will be members can share them with those who are not, assuming there is enough.
Yikes! I wonder if we will be permitted to make large group reservations once we have our password for discounted rooms? Or will it just be limited to reflect the number of convention passes we purchase?
They raised the bloody prices from C3.
4-Day Adult $110
4-Day Child* $45
1-Day Adult $40
1-Day Child* $20
*(6-12 years old. Children under 6 are free)
4-Day Adult $125
4-Day Child* $55
1-Day Adult $45
1-Day Child* $25
(*6-12 years old. Children under 6 are free)
Whew, the prices are higher than I thought they would be.
Well, the cost for me is for 5 days, not 4, since I'll be going on Thursday too. The four nicest to me can use my Friends & Family Passes to get in on that day.
Once I get my hotel code, I'll post here as to location and how much it costs, and compare it to what we already have reserved (again, thanks Robert).
is Thursday the Hyperspace members day? If So, I will be there for that also.
Well, I wondered when they would announce it.
Let's see how long before the servers go down on Monday.
As to prices, not surprised. This is only for the tickets.
It will start adding up. I expect all will go esp. exclusives.
Hopefully, problems will be corrected. However, I felt a tremor it is not over yet.
They fix some things but create new ones or partially correct it.
Try to be optimistic, but I am a realistic to see how it will work out.
I will be buying my tickets tomorrow.
Also I read this at www.ralphmcquarrie.com FAQ section :
"Is there any way to get something signed by Ralph?
We still have a selection of signed items available in our store. We?ll also be bringing just about everything we have with us to Celebration 4 next year, so look for us there!"
Now this is something I need to save up for.
Lou, tickets go on sale MONDAY, OCT. 30. As for McQuarrie stuff, I don't think he does personal signings anymore, due to his Parkinson's (I could be wrong). I'm sure there are still some stuff he signed before he fell ill though. I'd like to meet the "old school" ILM'ers at CIV, like Joe Johnston, Steve Gawley, Harrison Ellenshaw, etc., and get my ILM book fully signed.
While we're on the subject, I heard news of a possible private signing with a certain Mr. "Indiana Solo" coming to the Bay Area. PM or call me for details.
I'll be getting my pass when I get back on nov.7. Gonna have to have the fanforce over to my place one night after the c4. a little guitar hero anyone??? oh..matt.. can you post a list, when it becomes available of exclusives for c4, just so we can all get our pre-orders in. also if anyone wants to not stay downtown and more in hollywood, i'll be driving everday from myplace and can give rides.
Hello my friends just wanted to say hiya.
I'm very excited and looking forward to CIIII Whoooo!!
Wow, Heather, it's been ages.
I kinda just want to go for a couple of days. I really don't think there is gonna be anything REALLY value added by going all 4 days... or 5 for that matter as a "hyperspace" member. Hey was there talk of going to Pirates 3 one of those nights though?
Um, got your girls mixed up, Robert.
Ming, I believe "Pirates 3" opens that Friday, and we can catch it at the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Blvd., right next to where they tape the Jimmy Kimmel Show. We can get tickets online.
