If you read the information posted with the ticket sale, it says you have to go and pick it up. Sorry, I'm tired today, I have a meeting I don't want to go to and I want to go home. I know that belongs in the other post but I think I had better stop posting otherwise I'm going to make everyone hate me rather than just some people. Have a good day.

Good thing I didn't ask her again about the plane tickets. She would have kicked my butt.

OK, the Weather Channel has updated their information just this morning. They are now predicting 60% chance of rain on Wednesday, with scattered thunderstorms. Then, rain again on Thursday, with party cloudy skies on Friday. Temperature highs in the middle sixties, lows in the forties. Bring a jacket or sweater for that 6 AM lineup to get in the door! :)

Hopefully this thunderstorm chance will go away over the next few days. That info wasn't there yesterday...

I looked up the weather too. If it rains we can pretend we're in Kamino. Ok, that was a really geeky thing to say.

    One thing: I HATE RAIN.

Yeah, I guess the big problem is the lining up part. Once we get in the skywalk comes in handy but the 3 or so hours prior will be bad if we have to stand in the rain.

The "cool" thing to do is to wait until after the door opens to finally go. Or at least that's how we're gonna do it with my group. :p

I was accepted into the Master Replicas CIII Party!! I dunno how, but I was. I'm not a member of their Collector's Society. I added my wife as a guest, but if she doesn't want to go, I'll take one of you with me, if you want to go. I have tix for the 501RLFF party too.

I spent one full day shopping for the items needed to re-create TWO Jedi outfits (since my original was "borrowed") and spent one full day cutting out the pieces...now, let the sewing commence, then the leather-work. Whew! Time got away from me and now I'm scrambling. We'll be wearing costumes on Friday and Saturday nights only, right? I could make a third costume for Thursday, but if we're all bringing just two I won't bother...

Oh and I'm glad it will be cold as I'm making my cloak out of wool....mmm, toasty!

I think a costume for 2 days is enough. On Thursday I plan to buy all the stuff that I want to get so that I won't need to carry a backpack or a lot of stuff the days I'm wearing a costume, because that just looks really bad.

    I like to double post..

There's a pretty elaborate system set up for the George Lucas programs:

We gotta get up pretty early on Saturday. That's for sure.

You'all are going to have to recall the high points of the George Lucas talk for me -- I can't go because I'm "working" that morning as a guest escort for the autograph section. Oh, well. I'm sure a transcript will be posted somewhere.

And as an aside, I am getting some free autographs. If anyone has someone they absolutely have to have, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

D-B said he wasn't going to wear a costume to the 501st party, that it was going to be a "normal attire" type of party. Has anyone heard whether or not costumes will be worn? I guess I'll have to check otherwise I guess it's costumes through the day.

Damn it!!! That means Friday night we can no drink a lot, if we are going to be in line at 6 AM. Plus, Saturday is 501st Costuming day. I think.

    Adrian,

We prefer English to be spoken here on this sight. If not, Spanish will work as a second.

I think you asked who is attending the party?
Most of us are, including yours truly.

    Bubba

    P.S. I am just kidding.

D-B called me yesterday to say that some people will be dressing for the 501st party so I guess we are still on for that if desired. It'll be a lot of fun and I can't wait. I have so much to do I don't know what's going on with anything!

I'm just about done with one of my two Jedi outfits: it's black, made out of wool boucle suiting, and it looks like I'm a Jedi executive! :D

Okay, I'm well into sewing the light-side Jedi costume now. Still have to make the cloak, too! Plus do the leather work. And run errands. And pack, etc. Plus work a little. Yikes I feel like I'm running out of time!

How is everyone packing their costumes? Garment bag? Folded, hoping to iron later?

And DH -- got your message -- I was trying for tix too! But alas no luck!

I have yet to begin to think about packing. The reason being is I don't know how I'm going to do it so therefore just don't think about it. Because avoidence is always a great solution to a problem. Ignore it and it will go away.

I guess I'm just going to fold mine up. Jedi's didn't have irons and I'm sure traveling around the galaxy they too get a few wrinkles in their clothes. If it is really bad hopefully the hotel will have an iron I could use. My biggest problem is getting my lightsaber there. Any suggestions? If I can't get the blade then at least I could just pack the other part in my carry on but then what will the security at the airport say?

    ???

Hmnn. I'm just taking my home-made saber, which has no "blade."

And I guess a neatly pressed Jedi robe WOULD be pretty silly...
