Mass Celebration III.......planning and information thread.

I was wondering how many of you are planning on attending Celebration III in Indianapolis?

I am spending a week there.
Going out early to enjoy the city before the craziness begins.

I went last time and had the best time.
That's how I got introduced to the TFN boards by other members.

What's everyone else doing?

 

Great new the new Celebration III figure has been announced!!!

I love it!!! It speaks too!!
I have been waiting for this one!!!

Sold at the Celebration III Store, planned for Exhibit Hall F in the Indiana Convention Center, April 21 - 24, 2005.
Quantities divided among all four days of the show; some will be sold each day while supplies last.

Price: $15.00, including tax.

Quantities are limited per person and badge type. Individuals with 4-day badges may purchase a total of 4 action figures, while supplies last. Those with 1-day badges may purchase 1 action figure, while supplies last.

The Celebration III Store staff will punch badges for each purchase, one punch per figure. For example, if a 4-day badge holder purchases 2 figures, they may go back to the store and purchase 2 more at a different time. There will be specific areas marked on the badges for the punches.

I plan on being there as well. Already have my hotel room and will probably buy my passes and airline tix by the end of February. I plan on flying out there the morning of April 22 and then back home Monday morning. It will be my first "Celebration" and I'm really looking forward to it. Even more so now with the announcement of the Convention figure!

 

Hey Mike what hotel are you staying at?

Jeff,Ed,and many of the New Jersey Order are staying at the Omni Severin.

We are planning some after convention activities not sure the definites yet, but you are welcome to hang with us.

 

Chris, I'll be "slumming it" at the Days Inn down the street It's about 3/4 of a mile from the RCA Dome/Con Center and it's only costing me about $52 a night, so I can't complain.

Yeah, that would be great to hook you you guys. I've never been to Indy, so I'll let you guys make the plans and I'll tag along.

 

Man, I wish I could be there. The figure alone is worth the trip. Ebay looks like my best bet for that baby.

Celebration III Badges - Collectibles with a Punch January 28, 2005

Every fan who attends Star Wars Celebration III this April 21-24, 2005 at the Indiana Convention Center will be required to wear an admission badge. Far from just a requirement, however, these admission badges are colorful, coveted collectibles unique to the show.
Badges for attendees will feature iconic Star Wars characters, a different character for each day of the show plus a Darth Vader image for the 4-Day badge. The kids' badges* may be the most fun of all, with Clone Wars cartoon images that correspond to the characters on the adult badges.

Imperial symbols on each badge will serve as hole punch markers for the Celebration III action figure, a Darth Vader who speaks phrases recorded by actor James Earl Jones exclusively for the toy. The figures are available in limited quantities, and the Celebration Store staff will punch badges, one punch for each figure purchased. Those with 4-day badges may purchase a total of 4 action figures, while supplies last. Those with 1-day badges may purchase 1 action figure, while supplies last.

Fans and collectors who are wondering how they can possibly get their hands on a full set of these badges will be happy to know that complete sets can be ordered during the event at the Celebration Store. The sets, which will also include exhibitor, VIP, volunteer badges and more, will be shipped after the show. Watch for coming details on Celebration III collectible badge sets on starwars.com and starwarscelebration.com.

Those who want to save valuable time at Celebration III can order their admission badge online and have it shipped to them before the show. The deadline for ordering shipped badges is March 4, 2005. Those ordering after that date can pick up their badges at Will Call or buy them at the show doors. Register online at starwarscelebration.com.

*Kids' badges are for kids 12 years and younger. Kids under 6 are admitted to Celebration III free, but are still required to wear a badge. Parents should take their kids under 6 to the registration or Will Call area at the show to receive their free badges.

 

Haven't ordered mine yet. Still deciding if I want to go just Sat & Sun or if I want to try for Friday as well.

 

Well at least you have your hotel room which are in limited availability.

I can't wait for C3 ...it can't be hear fast enough.

That sounds freaking awsome! How big are these impromptu "theaters" going to be? Are the viewings free to those with badges, or is there an additional cost involved?

Too bad I don't get into Indy until Friday, I would have loved to see ANH on the big screen again

 

I would love to see it on the big screen period. I have never seen any of the original movies on the big screen.

 

C3 has officially announced that Jeremy Bulloch, David Prowse, Ray Park and Daniel Logan will be present and signing autographs. Mr. Bulloch is definitely one of my "must haves". I passed up an opportunity to get his auto at a Sci-Fi convention back in the late 90's and I'm still kicking myself in the butt for it.

 

This is great I never have met Ray Park.

And this time I will get David Prowse autograph.

Getting to meet alot of the actors was really cool at Celebration II and if you go it is a must.

I also just paid my admission to go to the Celebration 3 Party at the Hyatt hosted by the Bloodfin 501st Garrison and the Indy Knights. Where some SW actors and guests are expected to be also.

 

Man this sounds like a great time! I'm sure you guys will have a blast!
