! I would love to have you crash but my fiance and I only have a small 1-bedroom condo here in the LB!

She was also excited about the event! Hey, she even dressed up as Princess Leah last Halloween (trying to convince her to dress up for Con)!

BUT- we are close to a few good hotels here in downtown LB (great city, good places to eat, hang out, etc)and the metro is only a 30-45 minute train ride to the LACC!

Or you can check out this hotel 1 mile away from the LACC on the same street (Figueroa), about $80-100 a night, clean/safe (yes, I have stayed here a few times),next to many places to eat, and next to USC:

How did the hotel reg work? After you buy your badge to you get a code to use. Is it all the same code like last time?

If you don't register for the fan club NOW, do you still get the fifth day?

Got our tickets..now to decide where on earth to say. Little too far to drive home and back each day.

 

Hotel reservations don't start until Thursday or Friday (I forgot). They will send you the code to use AFTER you buy your badge; codes will go out by e-mail beginning November 2nd.

All you have to say is YES to the Fan Club question; they probably won't verify until they get ready to send you your badge and Hyperspace lanyard in April.

 

So is anyone in SD planning some massive carpooling caravans? Or trying to see how many people you can fit in a 4-person hotel room? Because... I'm in the market, and I don't snore

Just registered. Plan on reserving a room on Thursday. Like C3 I'm willing to share or join some friends in a room.

Not sure about who I'm going to volunteer with. I don't want to get stuck volunteering for GenCon itself, I heard bad stories about C3. I'd like to volunteer with LFL, Rebel Legion, Fan Force, and Official Pix. So I'll wait and see what comes along in the next months.

I've posted this in other forums, but isn't "Pirates 3" opening that weekend? Maybe we can bring pirate costumes for Friday night at the El Capitan? Also, some if us up here in SF were thinking of going to Disneyland after C4 (Tuesday) to cap off the week.

 

I know our little band of PotC is planning on going. (well unless something REALLY cool is happening that night at the con)

 

Meesa happy! I reserved the ONLY hotel I wanted to stay at for CIV. I got the Bonaventure at $185 a night for myself and the kiddos.

And people were complaining that LA was more expensive than Indiannapolis... no way, I paid $400 a night in INDY. Geesh!

 

$72 a night for the SFFF.

 

We got the idiot who didn't know what they were doing (Housing Authority). Jos got through immediately, the woman made her wait about 30 seconds until SHE decided it was 10:00 and then took almost 15 min to figure out what she (Housing Authority was doing). We are now stuck about 2 miles away all thanks to this one person. Arggghh

(currently checking our backup..while somewhat closer, it is between $300 and 400 per night OUCH)
