Celebration IV Costume pictures (including pageants!)

I was just thinking the other day, wouldn't it be cool if at the next Celebration there could be a display of 'fan made' costumes. That way you can see all the awesome details up close and see all the ones you might have missed of costumed people in the hallways.

I don't know it would be possible or even it they would allow it, but it would be awesome!

Just throwing it out there! LOL

 

They do that kind of thing at some convention, like costume college. Problem is, if our costume is on display we can't wear it! And I am so paranoid, I'd freak out if something accidentally happened to one of my own costumes

 

Hi there, I'm sort of new but I've been lurking for about a year. I was only at C4 on Saturday but my bro decided for me that I should wear my Solo Bespin gear. It was a great time! I'm really getting the bug for this sort of thing. Anywho, I'm still modifying the costume but here's our flickr gallery:

I want to add a breath mask and some kind of mynock in the future. Just to add some spice you know.

 

I just wanted to say congrats to all that entered and also to those that won. Everyone looked great, and I was feeling pretty outclassed up there!I only talked to Jessica since she was behind me in line-such a nice girl-please tell her so if anyone talks to her. Thanks for posting those pics since I don't have any of mine since they lost the one that was taken before the contest. I'm the one in the simple peacock gown #98, by the way.

 

Dawashindi - I had wanted to say hi to you the few times I saw you because I remembered you from the fan submissions to Padawan's Guide (I helped process them)! I was telling my friend Eva who met you one day (I think she told you you look like a perfect china doll) that I like how well constructed your version of the peacock gown is. It shows you can make slightly simplified versions of costumes and still have them look great if they are constructed well and fit you well! And I do mean slightly simplified because I can tell a lot of work went into your costume too.

By the way, all of our photos - aside from the Archive Costumes and Props - are finally up on my Image Event site. The work is never ending.

For those of you who lost the URL to that here it is:

Snapfish Album There may or may not be a room code you have to enter. I think if you register for snapfish, it will let you in w/o the room code. In any case, the room code they gave us that day was "georgelucas"

 

The password for the snapfish album is still "georgelucas".

And yes MomMaster, there are photos of you in there too.

Yes, yes, Thank-you all! I meant passing by in the hallways. I never saw half of these people because the place was so huge! We missed so many!

 

^ that is so true! I am seeing more costumes in pictures here that I never saw in person. It was such a spacious place that it was hard to run into the same costume twice.
