Fans at Celebration IV can join actress Carrie Fisher for an intimate evening on Saturday, May 26th. Fisher, who portrayed the beloved Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, will share memories and anecdotes from her experiences with Star Wars, in stories told as only Carrie Fisher can tell them. Without a script, without an emcee, the evening promises to be a one-of-a-kind conversation, filled with witty and candid insight and memories. Fans of the Star Wars movies, and fans of Fisher's work in the movie, television, and publishing arenas, will not want to miss this opportunity to hear from one of the actors who has been part of the Star Wars story since the beginning.
Tickets to A Conversation With Carrie Fisher are available exclusively to registered pass holders for Celebration IV. Admission to Fisher's appearance is $15 and seating is limited. Go to Gen Con's Celebration IV registration site to purchase tickets, and to register for the show.

Fisher, an audience favorite for both her onscreen and onstage roles, was 19 years old when she became a cultural icon as Princess Leia in A New Hope. She is the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. In addition to A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, Fisher has performed in numerous movies and television series, in her own series of television specials, Conversations from the Edge with Carrie Fisher, and in the upcoming Star Wars-based comedy, Fanboys. Fisher also devotes much of her time to writing, and is as gifted with the written word as she is the spoken. She has penned the best-selling novels Postcards from the Edge, Surrender the Pink, Delusions of Grandma, and The Best Awful.

I have a call in to the GenCon phone number to ask about ID's at the WillCall desk. No one answered but I left a message and a call back number and am hoping to hear back from them sooner rather than later.

I did that as well.. just in case they give me any hassels since I bought it with Jake's debit card. Just the same I wait for the call and on monday I will call them back to double check if Jake has to prove to them he gave permission for the ticket to be purchased.. I can't imagine the trouble if tons of folks bought tickets for their kids to go to this event and then sent them with other chaperones and the kids can't get any of their tickets because their parents can't be there with ID's and credit cards to prove they are who they say they are and that their kids are supposed to have the tickets they are holding receipts to have....

anyways... I bought it... it's MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am making a mental note here to go to a collecting panel on Sunday that ValedaKor will be a part of. She said that she will have some interesting Padme items for show and tell and I am not going to miss that!!

I filled out my OPX volunteer info today. It will be awhile before I hear back on what shifts I wind up getting though. I plan on having a very rounded experience at CIV. I signed up to volunteer for a shift at the fan force table as well.. and yes Cheryl I do remember what you said.. but I just can't help myself.. I enjoy doing this stuff.. and it gives me a chance to meet people.. and you know me and socializing.
