Vancouver Celebration of Light (FINAL DETAILS POSTED! PLEASE CHECK LAST POST)

I know it's a while from now, but I wanted to get public opinion on this.

Anyways, I was wondering how many of you would be interested in going to see the Celebration of Light next month.

Anyone?

I think this might be the first year I have to pass. I don't want to be a lemming on the Skytrain at 1am, or maybe not be able to get on it at all due to crowds.

 

Rudy and I just talked about this, and we think it would be TOTALLY AWSOME if we had a picnic and then saw the celebration of light. what do you guys think?

That sounds fun! Maybe I'll come to the picnic and leave before the fireworks crowds start.

 

When is this exactly?? My days off for the summer will be thursdays and fridays....

 

Here's this year's schedule:

Wednesday, July 27 ? Canada
Saturday, July 30 ? Sweden
Wednesday, August 3 ? China
Saturday, August 6 ? Grand Finale

Since Phill is going to be out of the country in early August, maybe we could shoot for one of the two July dates.

 

My family usually likes to go to the finale, but I can try to convince them to go to one of the earlier ones.

 

I'm only available on either of the Wednesdays.

I'm availiable for the first two events, so i guess it's probably the best if we did it the first wednesday, somewhere were we can see the fireworks and still eat dinner in peace, it'd be totally awsome.

 

Wed the 27th sounds good to me, although I don't know how much peace we're gonna get.

 

I talked to my parents today, and they seem gung ho on doing it on one of the Saturdays.

 

Saturday should be ok for me too.

 

Dude! Why do you keep making socks? Just get bored with your usernames after awhile?

I like "artoo-am-not" and "dooku-ca-choo" the best though.

alright, i'm coming back from winnepeg on the 25th so i can easily go to any of them, if you guys could plan a place and a time, and when i come back i'll check so i can go to the event.

 

I thought you were going to France, or is there a Winnipeg there too?
