Celebration V - Countdown

One thing's for certain - I'm gonna be dropping a hell of a lot more $$$ at CV than I did for CIII and CIV.

 

Same here. I have the Celebration V logo as my desktop on my PC at work. All day everyday I can't get the thought of going out of my head. I'm so excited! Especially cause this is my first celebration as well

BTW, 17 days to go! 2 1/2 weeks

As of this moment, Celebration V will kick off in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!

Only 13 Days, 21 Hours, 21 Minutes, 23 Seconds until the Star Wars event of the year is underway.

2) I've never been to one before

Get ready for the time of your lives! I'm serious. After CII , I was on on a "High" like nothing Iv ever had before and it gets better after each Celebration.

I know what you mean. I was like that pretty much after my first con. Up to that point, it was the most fun I've ever had in my life. And to think that this should be 10x more fun...man...this is gonna be crazy I can't wait! 13 days!!!

Might sound strange, but being this close to a Celebration always makes me feel a slight bit of sadness. The 4-6 months leading up to a Celebration is such an exciting time as new updates are released and fans get to predict who/what will show up.

The forums are always at their best during a Celebration year IMO.

This will be the 3rd Celebration for my wife and I, and we consider the fun & anxious "pre-Celebration" time to be almost as intoxicating as the event itself.

 

I hate the after Celebration depression

 

I've been thinking the same thing. There is this 8 month build-up and then it all comes crashing down right after you get home and have to get back to reality and regular life without a Celebration on the horizon.

That's why we gotta make memories & new friends, take some photos, buy a souvenir or twenty, and make those 4 days live up to your expectations, no matter what they are.

 

And then the credit card bills come rolling in

 

Ah but this time there is a Silver Lining for us Star Wars fans, you might say there is Hope. We have SW TOR to look forward to.

Speaking of the The Old Republic, is anyone else planning on checking out the The Art and Writing of Star Wars: The Old Republic panel at CV?

 

Okay, I admit. I got a little goose-bumpy with that.

I just start looking forward to the next convention. Sadly I can't make D*C this year (unless I magically get a plane ticket or sommat) but at least MegaCon was pretty pimp last year and with a crap load of awesome comic movies coming, it should be a blast next year.

I allmost think time is starting to move to fast now.
So much preparation, so little time.

 

I'll most likely be there with my PC copies of KOTOR I and II, hoping to get them signed by Karpyshyn if he's there.

 

I've got 5 more working days before my CV vacation begins. Unbelievable!

 

I can't believe it's already August and CV is less than two weeks away! This is going to my first and the excitement is really starting to hit me.
