Celebration V - Orlando, FL Aug 12-15 2010

I hope they can actually come up with fun stuff to do rather then see the same old celebrities that were at C2, C3 and C4, see lifesize legos of chewbacca and a star destroyer & the same movie props we've seen 30 times before.

I was surprised how bored I got walking around CIV. I went to CIII with a younger cousin and he was thrilled the whole time. We had so much fun. I took my new wife to CIV and she was like "really?" She was a good sport though.

 

Wow, this is awesome! I do already have a trip booked to go to PAX East, but PAX is always every year no matter what and Celebrations aren't.

Very tempting especially considering its Orlando, Florida with a side trip to Disney running in my thoughts too. Will have to think about this one. Loved CIV!!!

Good news.

Hopefully they make lots of money so they'll keep doing Celebrations.

 

I am really stoked that this is in Orlando this year...but only because I live here. I am new to the board ( this is my first post) but I wanted to find an active board to become a member of before August rolls around. I will probably be attending alone so it would be nice to have some people to look forward to meeting. Lets get our collective geek on! LOL

 

I'm going to MegaCon at the OCC today - I gotta get the kid up and get moving I want to see this!

VIP tickets(that's not quite what they called them - can't remember) will go on sale March 23.
They have the whole building for Celebration - it's huge. There will be a lot of authors there, he seemed excited about all the new books coming up. But, selfishly, I talked mostly of business partnerships, business and whatnot.

 

I'd really like to have some guests announced officially.
So far I thought it was a shortcoming of the German Con to announce the guests late but doesn't look like it anymore.

 

For CIV the first guests was announced a little over 3 months before the event, so you shouldn't expect anything yet.

 

Official Pix has officially been confirmed for the Autograph Hall. (let the fan debates begin)
