Celebration V rumors by Steve Sansweet

Once an official brand new C5 forum has been created, I'm sure we'll see a new banner design in that fourm.

 

Yeah, since there is no offical C-5 forum yet (because we don't know what city will be getting it), it won't be possible to create a new banner. And I wouldn't put it past LFL to be dissembling when it comes to a location, so a list of cities would probably be useless, anyway .

 

Hey Helen - this thread is at 10 pages now.

Think it's time we lock 'er up and start a new one?

Also when C5 is announced i will create a folder for it on my internet favourites for all of my travel and hotel arrangements and also for the official site when it comes.

I remember the day we got the present banner. It was great! Who designed it, BTW?

 

It's been so long, I don't recall. This one was one when we started the C-IV board, a while ago.

 

Loads of good times we've had here on this CIV forum.

Gonna be a bit sad when its locked and the new C5 forum is created...

Yes...I will be so sad, it will be like a lost family. Hope we can continue to talk on the new forum.

The C-Japan prints look amazing (like they do at every Celebration).

I really hope the leftover stock (if there is any) gets placed on SWShop.com for fans to order like they did for CIV.

All these C-Japan updates are really making me long even more for C5 news!!

 

I'd actually completely forgotten that this weekend was Celebration: Japan. I hope it's a nice time for everyone who's attending.

I checked out the artwork yesterday. There were a few things that really caught my eye - very similar to style to what we've seen before in previous Celebrations. Some talented artists out there!

I can only bet some of the prints will show up on eBay and www.starwarsshop.com just like the Celebration: Europe stuff. Heck, there are still t-shirts available for CE. lol

I'm really not expecting any sort of C5 announcement this weekend, though. I guess I'm sorta losing heart.

 

The prints are always nice, but they have to be pretty exceptional now for us to buy one. That is mainly because we have very little space left to hang 'em, and we aren't just going to leave them in a tube. The 'group shot' type of artwork is getting a little stale IMO. Good work of course, but not very original after six Celebrations, just variations on a routine theme.

 

I have a feeling that there will some out there. I love the Padme one. I have to figure out how to get that one. Hence my name...lol.

Anyone know of any Celebration news that leaked from Celebration: Japan? I've been trying to keep an eye out, but my limited sources have been rather - well - limited.

 

I'm still going by what Sansweet said in Chicago: no announcement on C5 until the Fall, which means we still have at least two months to go...

 

Moff...Do not tell me that...lol. I am getting the shakes, I need celebrations!!!

When was it offically announced last time? I thought it was late summer, early fall... then the con was in the spring... no?

 

The official CIV announcement was posted on SW.com on May 26th, 2006 - almost exactly one year before the convention.

 

And as we discussed earlier in this thread, from official announcement to Celebration Japan was only about 5 months. It doesn't help us in planning, but that leaves LFL plenty of time still for a 2009 date.
