'Cause every board has to have a Celebration V thread.

Evidence that it will be held next year?

Apparently they changed the site, cause according the TheForce.Net article, it used to read

Create your favorite Star Wars: The Clone Wars scene or another of your favorite moments from the Star Wars saga using your Hasbro action figures and vehicles. You could win over $1000 of Hasbro Star Wars toys AND have the chance to display your creation at the 2010 Star Wars Celebration!

    Now it says

Create your favorite Star Wars: The Clone Wars scene or another of your favorite moments from the Star Wars saga using your Hasbro action figures and vehicles. You could win over $1000 of Hasbro Star Wars toys AND have the chance to display your creation at the next Star Wars Celebration!

Looks like Hasbro screwed up to me, but still.. I'm not complaining. Heres to hoping that it's actually somewhere I can get to easily!

Classic viral marketing, eh? Make a "mistake" on the web site and leave it up just long enough for your target audience to find, then "fix" the problem.

I'll be watching G4 on Saturday to see what all this hubbub is about.

I just finished reading the blog/chat on G4's web site from the live coverage of the "Star Wars Spectacular" at Comic-Con. So there will be a Celebration next year, we just don't know where or when? Disappointing, but at least we know there will be one! I was actually hoping they would announce that there would be another Clone Wars movie this year, but doesn't sound like that's going to happen.

I'm calling it now.. if it's not announced at some other point of the weekend (perhaps during G4s live coverage tomorrow, to get people to watch it?)

My guess is that if they're holding it in Chicago, they will announce it at WizardWorld... okay.. so maybe part of this is hoping n'such.. but Steve Sansweet will be at the Con.. so who knows?

Well, just got home from a little weekend trip to Wisconsin,
to find the G4 broadcast of Star Wars at Comic-Con

and Steve Sansweet saying that next summer is when C-5 will be,
    somewhere in the U.S.

after that, he only indicated that they are working on the details,
and do not yet have it "Nailed Down"

But that it would be posted on Star Wars dot com................

It is my guess, that it all pivots on costs and competiting sites and where LFL can
get the most bang for their buck.

It is not beyond the possibility that this also involves Mayors as large conventions
bring much needed revenue to where ever they occur and in these economic times,
many cities need all the help they can get.

I'm debating it.. I'm wondering if I can get some travel or ticket costs covered as birthday/christmas presents.

The issue that I'm hearing the most, epecially from Bloodfin folks, is that they've already made plans for DragonCon, and since that is 2 weeks after CV, they will be skipping CV.

As I'm not going to D*Con, I don't have that problem.. It's just the cost of travel and hotel that will be the problem. Oh.. we'll see.. Cause I REALLY want to go.

So all is quiet around here on this issue. Is everyone holding out for Celebration VI to be closer to home?

Hopeful to go again some time in the future,
but not this one. I have visited Florida once, and, well,
not for me in general and especially in August.

Am looking forward to stories and photo-s:)

Why would they bother making more movies if people are still buying crap and attending conventions?
