So on some other forums I've ventured around, a way to censor out bad words (like the f-bomb) is to replace the expletive with a plain *(censored)*. I'm not really for the need to censor out words, but the mods seem to think it is better to keep this a "family site," and it would be easier than just starring out the word (which makes the word you're using more obvious anyway). Is there anyway the mods could install this system? (I'm not tech-savvy so I wouldn't really know how this would be done, lol).

We have an auto censor which automatically stars out f-bombs.

We have a language filter enabled here. If you type out the standalone F- or S- bombs (as well as some other words) they will be replaced by asterisks when the post goes up. (I just tested it in our mod test forum).

Edit - harpua got there first.
