JCC Cereal Debate

According to my local news, this is a debate. I didn't know this was a thing, but I guess it's a slow news day.

I've always poured my cereal in a bowl, then added the milk.
The milk first people add cereal incrementally so it doesn't get soggy and the milk stays fresh. <shrug>

What do you do?

well here's another question - if you're having cornflakes do you sprinkle sugar on before or after the milk ?

 

I used to do one teaspoon before the milk, and then a second one after the milk.

 

I don't eat cereal, but when I make oatmeal I pour the oats in before the milk, and I assume there's a certain degree of transitivity.

 

I put the ice in before the milk and cereal.

 

I have never actually met someone who does milk and then cereal.

 

Shouldn't there be a third option? If you see your cereal drowning in the milk, you POUR MORE CEREAL INTO THE BOWL? I don't like soggy cereal at all; but I don't like to waste milk either. And I doubt too many people would measure the amount of milk they put into the bowl before they add the cereal.

 

Exactly how long are you taking to eat a bowl of cereal?

 

Cereal before milk, but yogurt before cereal.

 

Oh I've done that loads of times. Too high milk to cereal ratio is bad. But who in their right mind pours milk into an empty bowl? You would have to know the floatability of each type of cereal to be able to pour the amount of cereal you wanted without it falling out the bowl. Plus it must splash milk everywhere when pouring in the cereal?

 

I also don't eat cereal. 1/4 cup of minute oatmeal microwaved with water for 45 seconds, then a diced apple on top, two tablespoons of vanilla yogurt and a dash of cinnamon. I've eaten this every day for nearly two years and have no joy in life.

 

this is a made up thing. no one pours milk in first. no one

 

The only time I eat hot oatmeal is during the Winter. When the weather gets warmer I switch to cold cereal.

We need another vote: Which do you put on first? Socks or Shoes?

 

does anyone warm the milk ? I used to for all cereal , but only for shredded wheat now .

 

That's even more ridiculous than having the option of pouring milk into an empty bowl before the cereal.

After you wake up in the morning, do you have a shower and then get dressed? Or do you get dressed and then have a shower?

 

Better yet; do you shave before or after you shower?

 

well now see that's a real question because if you use an electric razor your face might be a little damp after the shower so you want to shave first
