What's the book for March?

 

Vision of the Future by Timothy Zahn.

 

I haven't started reading it yet... I'm a bad co-leader! *hanging head in shame* Then again, I've got plenty of time yet...

Anyway, I will be there on the 27th, more or less on time... so don't miss out!

 

I'm gonna try to make it at least for lunch. My body is in need if an infusion of some chili-cheese fries.

So, who is this mysterious new EV attentee you mentioned in your e-mail, Thom? I'm all curious now.

 

I'm guessing he said that to see who actually got the test email. After all, no sign up on the website, no cool message.

 

No, actually, there is a new member coming. He said his CF.org name is JediRaz... real name is Richard. I won't give you any more details, so that way Sithy can't stalk him ahead of time.

 

Speaking of the mailing list... I looked at the number of people to whom that message was sent, and then I compared that to how many different folks have actually attended Errant Venture, even if just one time. My question is: where the heck is everyone? There are at least half again as many people on the mainling list than have ever shown up for a meeting. *sigh*

Maybe that will change as we use the list more.

 

Hmm, that is something that I have noticed on the Black Sun list as well. Plenty of emails I recognize, some I don't. With the way schedules can be, I am not surprised to see some can't make it.
Looking forward to the bookclub. Only on page 5, but so far a good read.

 

I go to some of the meetings but I never get an email on EV. But I always seem to get 2 of the general emailings. Guess that makes up for it?

 

Well, that's because the general email and the Errant Venture emails are two separate things. Once you sign up for Chicagoforce.org, that gets you signed up for general emails. But to get the Errant Venture (or the Black Sun, or Executor RPG) mail you have to go to the Clubs links, and Sign Up for a specific club. There have been some glitches in the past with this, so if you tried to sign up, and didn't get an email this week (or last week's Black Sun message) then please try again.

 

I didn't see your name on the EV list when it went out, Mary, but then I wasn't looking.

I'm about two-thirds done with the book, read most of that yesterday afternoon. I'll have it finished today, I think.

 

That's weird because I got the e-mail yesterday. ?
