Changes for A.E. of TPM in 2006

I think several changes will need to be made to the TPM when they release all 6 episodes together in one box set.

First they should redo Yoda as CGI to blend with AOTC.

Second, completely remove Jar jar! Hahah.

Third, add new scenes about Palpatine and his scheming with Maul.

These are just a few suggestions of course, and I'm just throwing them out as they come to me.

Anyone else have suggestions?

 

I'd like more Sidious and Maul scenes. Other than that I can't think of much I'd add or subtract.

 

I just thought of something else!

Perhaps after Palpatine finds out that Maul has failed him. Maybe they can add a scene where Palp contacts Dooku and tells him to proceed onward as planned just before the big celebration at the end.

Meaning Dooku to begin manipulating the Separatist movement.

 

That would be a cool bridge to AOTC.

 

Nothing much. Just reinsert the Bail Organa scenes with Jimmy Smits in the role, insert Dooku at the funeral, and update some of the Naboo battle affects.

 

I like the idea of having Bail in the senate scenes. It would be nice to see a Dooku cameo, but remember, he's not supposed to meet Obi-Wan, so he can't be at the funeral. It would be nice, but not necessary.

One more thing, improve Maul's saber. It looks very orange in some scenes, not as red as Dooku's.

 

I think that's your TV set, dude.

His saber is as red as you can get.

Also, remember, Dooku fought in the dark, Maul fought in well lit areas.

I agree with doing the CGI Yoda. When first watching TPM I didnt think it looked that bad but he looks like a frigging muppet now when I watch TPM.

 

Sorry to burst your bubble kids, but Lucas has been quoted as saying before that TPM is as it was suppose to be and his definitive vision.


Any sort of change would really jeopardize the integrity of TPM from a filmmaking and storyline perspective.

 

I doubt TPM or AOTC will go through any ultimate edition. They are already on DVD in their definite format.

 

I wonder if there's plans for the Archival Edition of Episode III yet...

The Yoda puppet in TPM is scary looking. Very creepy eyes.

It's absolutely absurd to go back and replace the Yoda puppet with a CGI one as we saw in AOTC.

It would be the Greedo Shot First fiasco all over again......well in my eyes.

 

There's a shot in TPM that I think needs fixing. It's the one where Ben Quadrinaros is in his podracer cockpit and seems to fall to the ground, then several podracers fly right over his head. There needs to be a sound effect or something there to indicate what's going on. Better yet, show what's happening from a different and better camera angle. Right now it looks like Ben Q. is just slowly floating down and hits the ground softly and silently.

The Yoda puppet is the only thing I don't like about TPM. That and the scene with the kids. "Let's go play ball!"

 

Maybe its just me, but I think the entire Tatooine sequence was way too long and should have been condensed to allow more screen time for Obi-wan and the Jedi Council.

 

i think the tattoonie part was the best part. i'd like it if Yoda was replaced and if the qui gon slicing mauls droid was put in.

if i could do one change (which can't now it would effect ep 2.) it would be that obi wan finds anakin and wants to train him instead of getting forced to train him.

here he dont care about anakin, and he doesn't WANT to train him, but is forced. anyways this is another topic. sorry i kinda changed it.

 

Restore the probe droid part. Fix Yoda to be CGI. Rescore some of the chopped up hacked apart and reedited at the last minute score.

 

Was their a scene with Qui-Gon slicing Maul's probe droid?
