Pfff... Ventress is still a Rattataki to me!
Maul is still an Irodonian to me!
Maul's tattoos are still Sith tattoos in my opinion!
It is not possible other Sith (such as members of Krayt's Sith Order)would use Nightsister/Nightbrother tattoos.

Changing their species was unnecessary and stupid.
The Rattataki appeared in TOR and the Republic comic series.
    They are still Ventress' people.

Why would the Rattataki make Ventress their leader if she was not one of them.
Oh, God, I miss the original Tartakovsky series!

Because she killed all the warlords and took their territory and holdings as her own.

Is that the person who made the original Clone Wars cartoon?

According to Darth Sidious in "Wrath of Maul", he is still an Iridonian.
Just as Anakin wasn't born on Tatooine, Maul was not born on Dathomir.

Yeah. The show that TCW can never live up to because it a) has an actual plot and b) doesn't have every character ridiculously overpowered to the point of insanity.

First SW novel I've read. I forget what they said regarding his species. The book was made in January 2012. The Nightsisters and all of that were still mentioned as far as I can remember. Have you read it?

Not every character. Possibly Mace & Grievous, I'm told.

Yes. There was no change to his birth world, or his species... they only wrecked where his tats came from.:p

The idea of Sith tattoos always seemed weird to me. The Emperor doesn't have them, Darth Vader doesn't have them, and then (OU chronology) Darth Tyranus doesn't have them either. How can they be "Sith tattoos" if only one of four movie Sith have them?

Ancient Sith had tattoos, and just because we don't see tats on Sidious doesn't mean he doesn't have any.

From what I've seen of it, there was some measure of exaggeration of characters' abilities. Grievous and Mace especially.

His species was changed to Dathomirian, the same hybrid race as Ventress and Talzin. He's still a Zabrak, just a half-blooded one.

If anything, Mace is underpowered like the rest of the Jedi in TCW.

    >TCW
    >Coherent plot

This is the same show that is called the Clone Wars but barely features it. Pick one

Rather easily; when your Master is the one who originally applied them. I got pics, so it happened.;)

Esg what makes those "Sith tattoos" as opposed to a Sith with a tattoo? Even if I stipulated that they were, my point would still stand. Of the movie Sith one of four has tattoos, of Golden Age Sith there's (allegedly) one of dozens. It's still dumb.

SithStarSlayer it's not just an idea GL randomly brought into the picture when the PT started, it's totally forgotten in Ep. II and Ep. III. He could've tried to make less dumb, but didn't.

Read Jedi vs Sith. Even Sith cultists and minions have them

The Essential Guide to the Force? I have it. I'm not saying the EU didn't attempt to somehow rationalize GL's creative ADHD, I'm saying it's a poor rationalization I don't buy into. There's no mention of them being "Sith tattoos" in the film so my canon works fine for me.

Huh. I thought the strengthened through torture aspect from toxic ink, or maybe even the pincer bugs that were sometimes used = badass.

Exar Kun and Ulic Qel Droma were both marked by the spirit of Marka Ragnos. Not quite tattoos, but just as well.

Sorry, not to be curt but I don't find "Not quite, but just as well" to be a compelling case. There's no mention in Tales of the Jedi of alleged "Sith tattoos."

Being marked by the spirit of a dead sith is better than a tattoo in my opinion, hence the just as well.

IIRC, Tenebrous was covered in esoteric, Sith tattoos.
