Changing User Name

Is it possible to change the username? Or is it possible to close the old account and create a new one with a new username using the old email address?

 

you can't close or delete old accounts as far as I know. you just leave it and don't log on again with it. you could create a new username with the old email address though if you wanted to

 

Like Conor said, you cannot change the username. However, I'm pretty sure it's possible to create a new username with the same email address.

yes I thought about doing that. Yet isnt there a way to just change how the name appears to others. So you can use your username to loggin but then, when you post it shows up as a "nickname"

 

No. I'm pretty sure only zerosleep can change names in the database.

 

Nope, sorry. Once you choose it, you're stuck. I do believe, as Zebra said, zerosleep can change the coding, but we don't do that. Nor is there a way to have a "nickname" show up other than your username.

It's amazing how important the registration date is. It's the only reason I've kept this name, which I am un-enchanted with, for so long.

 

I'm origianlly a 98er but I dropped that name along time ago.

Ravan or Raven or Gandalf the White or whatever the old Tech Admin's name was that gabe killed, he got his changed, a couple times.

 

It was Raven/Gandalf the Grey. And no they were two seperate user acounts.

Also, gabe did not kill him, he tourtured him half to death, twice(had to pull a Ricky Gervais)

Gandalf was originally Gandolf the Grey, the name was changed some time ago by the one guy who has access to the database. Policy, I believe, is currently to not allow that, if only because zerosleep has better things to do than change names. (For starters, he could probably use a nap...but then he'd have to change his own name...)

 

^Exactly. I remember asking a friend on here what happened to his other name and he said that zerosleep had changed it for him.

On the contrary malcolm-darth-am-i it is obvious that my account of Raven and his changing username(s) is more accurate than your's because I am an 01'er. Haven't you been paying attention to what everyone was saying about reg dates?

 

Gandolf wasn't the only one who had a name changed by zerosleep. RidingMyCaroselOnYou became RidingMyCarosel, and Hama-Ryu Kinnebi simply became Hama.

 

So the answer is yes, it is possible if you are a high-ranking official.

 

Or if you sleep with the right high-ranking officials.

 

I doubt any of our valued members here are willing to give up their virginity for something like this...Or maybe they will, I don't know.
