Chapter 21 -obi1 a master?

    in chapter 21 how is obi1 a master before he has trained anakin to knighthood, he appears to be on the council before anakin is accepted as a knight.

    Shortages of masters. Plus he's a general during the Clone Wars so he does help make Jedi decisions on what to do. ;)

    You don't have to be a master to be on the Council (i.e. Depa). But that said, I think Obi-Wan is a Master at that point.

    And this should probably go in the Chapter 21 thread.

    I think you're a bit mixed up, Depa has always been a master int he time of the movies - Ki-Adi-mundi, however, was still a knight during episode I.

    "Master" can be used as an honorific to describe any Jedi Knight and is seperate from the actual rank of "Jedi Master".
