    Name: Nora Roan

    Race: Human

    Sex: Female

    Age: 32

    Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Description: Light skin, long dark brown hair, and brown eyes. (Heh, I usually use pics of Catherine Zeta Jones one the Yahoo Group sites...)

(NOTE: Nora is the child of a Mandalore father. Her grandmother, pregnant with a son, managed to survive the massacre by the Jedi with a handful of other women. Later she gave birth to her child, which in turn fathered Nora... )

Nora Roan was born on Coruscant, the child of a Corellian mother and a Mandalore father. Mandalores were rare in the galaxy and Nora Roan?s father thought it necessary to teach his daughter the warrior-like customs of his ancestors. However, he mysteriously disappeared from her life when she was an adolescent. Her mother, fearful of being on her own, took Nora Roan to Corellia where they stayed with relatives. Here, Nora Roan was educated and she excelled in her studies. As she matured, she grew quite beautiful and had many suitors. However, her Mandalore genes eventually kicked in and she became discontented. Unable to shake the warrior instinct in her blood and having no suitable outlet to channel her energy, Nora Roan began to get into trouble and her relationship with her mother became strained. At the age of 22 Nora Roan bought passage aboard a freighter bound for Tatooine, and thus left Corellia and her mother. On Tatooine, she spent her time between Mos Espa and Mos Eisle, working for unsavory but high paying individuals who often required her to do unseemly things. She eventually saved enough money to purchase a few weapons and soon began taking odd bounty hunting jobs. Discovering she had a knack for the work, Nora Roan made a decent living from bounty hunting profits. Soon she was able to purchase an old Corellian Jumpmaster 5000, christened the ?Nineveh? (nin-i-vah), which she had overhauled and modified to suit her new ?career?. As time passed, Nora Roan?s natural abilities and striking beauty worked to her advantage and she polished her bounty hunting skills by taking a constant string of jobs that allowed her to travel throughout the galaxy. Today, she is a respected bounty hunter with a long list of accomplished missions.

    Name: Carri-Yan Veni

    Race: Human (Drevari)

    Sex: Male

Age (at time of death): 53

Description: Long gray hair, gray beard, orange eyes (genetically altered), Jedi robes consist of his homeworld's royal colors: gold, dark brown and burnt orange.

Carri-Yan Veni was born into the royal lineage of the house of Venu on the planet of Drevare, a small jungle planet skirting the border between the Outer Rim and the Corporate Sector. Shortly after his birth, a senator representing the Drevari region of space noticed the young boy's unique abilities and called upon the royal family to give the boy up to the Jedi Order. The family agreed, sending the boy to be raised on Coruscant.

Carri-Yan showed great promise during his Jedi training, having the rare ability to absorb energy and temporarily increase his Force abilities. When he was old enough, he was taken as a padawan by Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis. During the time just prior to the attack on Naboo by the Trade Federation, Carri-Yan obtained the rank of Jedi Knight at the age of 21. He donned new robes that day, representing his royal heritage.

Upon turning 21, Carri-Yan was required by the law of Drevare to return to the planet and either assume the throne or relinquish it to the next in line. Returning to his homeworld, the young Jedi Knight gave up his title to his younger brother, Rell-Dyn, and returned to the Jedi Order. Rell-Dyn became a cruel tyrant in the ensuing years, building his own private armada. Despite outcries from the Senate, Chancellor Palpatine took no action against Rell-Dyn, saying his armada was too small and too far removed from the rest of the galaxy to be a threat.

During the Clone Wars, Carri-Yan led a small Republic strike force to Drevare, hearing rumors of Rell-Dyn siding with the Separatists. Upon his arrival, Rell-Dyn managed to surprise Carri-Yan's strike force with one of his own, and captured Carri-Yan. Rell-Dyn imprisoned Carri-Yan in a cell beneath the royal palace.

Shortly after, Count Dooku decided Rell-Dyn was of no further use. He took Rell-Dyn's armada by force, and used it to bombard the planet. The devastation upon the planet was catastrophic, and caused most of the surface of the planet to be turned to ash. Few of the Drevari people survived, but among the survivors were Rell-Dyn himself and Carri-Yan.

Years passed. Carri-Yan's body began to wither from inactivity and malnutrition. Even the Force could not sustain him from the horrors of his long captivity. His only wish was to be freed so that he may bring his twisted brother to justice one day.

Shortly after the destruction of the first Death Star, Carri-Yan had a vision of his own death. Sensing his moment had come, he mustered all his strength and sent a distress call through the Force to the nearest Force-sensitive being he could find.

On a small Rebel base nearby, a young Rebel named Karn Sliverline picked up this call. A member of a Rebel black ops team, he gathered his team members and went to Drevare, which had been renamed Desolation in the ensuing years, its original name all but forgotten. Arriving on Desolation, Karn and his friends managed to free Carri-Yan and find his lightsaber still intact.

Carri-Yan tracked down his brother and challenged him to a Duel of Kings, as was the law of Drevare. In the process of the duel, both men were killed.

However, for several years afterward, Carri-Yan still eminated from the Force, passing on his knowledge to young Karn Sliverline. When Luke Skywalker started his Jedi Academy, Karn joined, and Carri-Yan finally let himself become one with the Force.

    -----

Apologies to D-R. I know Karn is yours, but his story intertwines with Carri-Yan, so I decided to keep it. :D
