That's a great look. Personally, I want to see a more alien face, but that's pretty much a perfect Star Wars Uber Bad Guy design.

well...that is an idea to work from...reptilian is a far cry from the "zombie" look we heard about before....back to the drawing board.

 

MSW mentions that he has a cobra-like head. What if the Lucasfilm team took inspiration from this well-regarded sci-fi short?

It's a good thing his voice sounds good in teaser one, he sounds authoritive and him being reptilian can give this whole first order a cult leader vibe to it. Crazy cult leader but maybe even be charasmatic. I hope there's a reveal soon with a pic. I just know whatever I seen or think is gonna be way off target. The Ra vid short is neat although I prefer the cheesy thulsa doom look- I have to think they put some thought into the character design and that is could be subtle like the changeling guy on Babylon 5 or extreme like the pic above. I wonder how the zombie + reptile look is being done if the old report is true at all - will it be cobra /reptilian but looks like withered and dead kinda like palps. Dark side mutation but on a reptile? .... yeah I'm not gonna be sketching a look on that - I have no idea how to represent a character design that on 2 reports are such extremely different from each other. Do like the concept tho.

 

Well Rick "******* awesome" McCallum is producing the feature apparently (tried to listen in to his conversation about it when I bumped into him in Starbucks a while back but it was all budget mumbo jumbo) Wouldn't be surprised if some of the concept artists were used by both productions.
