Yeah, I'm not surprised by Hasbro skipping toy fair as far as TFA is considered. That said, I will be surprised if they show nothing in April at Celebration.

Yeah, Captain Phasma sounds like a good old fashioned Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers (the Buster Crabbe kind) name.

I instantly associated this name with Gwendoline Christie. So now she IS Captain Phasma.

I will edit and dubb over EVERYTHING that doesn't name her Captain Phasma.

If someone else is Captain Phasma I will cut them out completely.

 

I am sure someone or several folks already mentioned that Phasma almost sounds specter-like (Phantasmagoria), so Phasma is just fine.

It does work nice for Gwendoline's chrome trooper, like Hoggsquattle said. Although when I look at that spongebob image I feel like I have when reading this forum over the past couple of weeks .(Ah, Potato Chip - extra crispy in the brain department.)

 

Agreed on Phasma. But it's not quite as good as Lady Warp Spasm.

I must admit that I haven't read Slaine, making the name seem all the more exotic.

So Poe's first name was based on a polar bear. JJ worked on another show involving polar bears...



Poe also seems to be a Han Solo-esque character. In LOST, the Han Solo archetype was this guy:



So Poe Dameron is the Sawyer Ford of the Star Wars Saga.

Just announced. Ebook short by @DelilahSDawson called #ThePerfectWeapon starring a TFA character named Bazine. Coming in November.

 

Aren't there two women in black in that picture? Which one is Bazine? The one sitting down or the Jessica Chastain look-alike?

 

there is only one in black and it's clearly the one sitting down.
the fat alien she's sitting on is also getting his own short, although no name was given.

IIRC, a long while back there was a "What's their story" ad campaign in the Insider or something that revolved around background characters. Can't even remember what it was about.

 

The woman in the right frame of the picture is wearing black as well

 

not to me she isn't, how is wearing something that's brown and with black dots=black, she isn't really wearing black.
either way it was said by different people that they are talking about the one sitting on the big alien.

 

Yea that's fine, you're definitely right about which character it is. The woman on the right is just very clearly wearing black as well. Particularly as compared to the woman in the all gray shirt who is sitting on the alien. So the other poster's question was a reasonable one
