Charity Screening Promotion by RMFF Members

Hey all, thought I would kick this off in a new thread so it's not in the T-shirt thread...

I sent out an email to our entire company promoting the CCC Charity Screening. Here is what I sent out:

You'll need to modify it of course, since it's specific to our company and myself. But you could use this as a template to notify everyone you know of what is going on and maybe we can help them sell those remaining 600 seats!

 

If you have other ideas about what we can do to help them sell these tickets, post those ideas here.

 

And what measures are being taken by CCC to promote this event? TV, radio, etc...???

 

Just got this email from SW.com. Seems that CCC is a really small event compared to some of the other charity screenings. Of course, in general, the price is lower, but there aren't any celebs coming or anything special noted for catering. Our efforts could really help a lot to get these tickets sold...

Fans wanting to see Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith before May 19 and help raise funds for good causes along the way still have a chance to buy tickets. Special charity screenings of Revenge of the Sith will happen in 10 major cities across the United States on May 12 to raise funds and awareness for issues affecting children and families.

Washington DC gets Carrie, like they needed to say (Princess Leia)?

 

Yeah, like saying "George Lucas, Creator of Star Wars" DUH! Would have been nice to have the bird here, or a celeb. They don't even have LOCAL celebs listed! For a CHARITY event?! Shame we couldn't pull some strings and get someone to show up. Too bad we don't have any strings to pull...

 

Someone should call the Nuggets... Since they no longer ahve worries about the Playoffs

Maybe the Broncos too? They're not really playing any games right now.

 

I bet the Avalanche are looking for something to do as well

 

Eddie Mac and Shanahan were there last time. Maybe my boy will be there!

Regarding celebrities.


Broncos are out. I got nowhere with my contacts there, and neither did CCC.


Kiki Vanderwege (sp?) of the Nuggets will be there.

 

Kim Christiansen & Kirk Montgomery are the Emcees for the event.

 

All the local Pro Sports Teams/personalities have been explored.

 

I know it's controversial, but has anyone gotten in touch w/ the Anderson's? They have a place in Colorado, and are technically SW people

 

And isn't one of the kids living in Colorado now too? (Lloyd or Logan)
