I'd like to officially join the FanForce. However, is this the only way of communicating meetings? I can't always check the boards here on a regular basis, but I can check my email. Could someone email meeting reminders? Is there an email group or a webpage for the charleston fan force yet?

Also, Ep II is at the "Dollar" theatre now in North Charleston.

And finally, has anyone gone to http://starwars.meetup.com/?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Welcome to the Dagobah Swamp Foxes. I'm sure we'll be able to email you with meeting times. Several of us are currently emailing and phoning each other. Send either MOTFJan (Janet) or myself a PM with your info and then we'll keep in touch. I've already been to the Northwoods 10 two times to see AOTC and will prbably go again within the next two weeks. Would love to meet up with you there.

    Welcome,
Just got back from a fabulous trip to Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA. Our own Larry Moss and Bill Martin both won at least two raffle prizes each. I don't know exactly what. My dad won 3 prizes so Charleston was well represented. Hopefully we can have a bigger group representation at Dragon*con next year and ConCarolinas in June and maybe Stellarcon in March.
All the Star Wars authors and media guest were great. I had the opportunity to have dinner with Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Jerome Blake(Rune Haako, Mos Ameda, a 5 or so other characters), and Mike Stackpole on Saturday night. It was alot of fun.
Mary Oyaya, who played Luminaria Unduli was there. She is soooo cute and very shy. I think she was a little overwhelmed , but did a great job.
Our other Charleston member, Brian was one of the storm trooper escorts for our costume contest so you might see him in some insider pictures. We had a bit of an emergency when one of the contestants slipped and fell. Luckily, our other Stormtrooper, from NC, was an EMT and stepped up to the challenge. He performed a Stormtrooper Strip tease--you had to be there!

Both Krista and I have talked about perhaps having some type of Halloween costume event in October at the North Charleston Cinemas. Not sure they will have it that long so we have to check with management.

Let us know if anyone would be interested.

I just want to take a moment to say that Dragon*Con was a blast...

...and 10:00 AM is too early to be a panelist. :p

Thanks for allowing me to discuss my club during the fan club panel on Monday, Janet. It was nice and relaxed, and everyone was great. :)

I'm sorry I haven't been around lately but I've been extremely busy. I've started back to school now and I'm working on two degrees. I would love to continue to be a part of this FanForce but I'm going to try and start a FanForce that's a little closer to home. The drive is a lot considering homework. I also have my fraternity meeting on Sundays during the sememster. I really enjoyed my trip to the first meeting of the Charleston FanForce and I can't wait to see you guys become official. I'm sorry the website didn't pan out. I couldn't ever figure out how to host my own site without paying. I'll try to do the icon VERY SOON. I'll check back in as soon as I get it done.
