This is a call to all the collectors on the forum. I wanted to let y'all know about Sandtroopers.com, it is an incredible site dedicated to us collectors and highly opposed to scalpers. Now this is not counting the twenty three 7" Unleashed figures I have. I need to take better pictures of those and post them...

 

that's a good looking collection.

my wife and i have a pretty substantial growing collection. we have one room devoted to it. i'll post pics once i take some decent ones. one question i was wondering if anyone knew the answer...

what is the best way to insure your collection? companies? and what do you have to go through to insure them? pics of every single item?

 

I've never heard of insuring your collections separately but I'm sure it is done.

You might want to hop on over to the Collecting forum's Ask a question, get an answer thread.

I would think that they would be covered under homeowners or renter's insurance although depending on the rarity of your figures you might want a separate "rider" or is it writer? on it.

But don't quote me, I'm clueless.

 

I remember reading Steve Sansweet's column in Star Wars Insider one time and someone asked that question. He talked about insurance companies that specialized in insuring collectables. He named a company or two and gave a breif description of the cost and what was involved in getting the items insured. I can't find the issue that has this in it so I sent an e-mail to Sansweet. Hopefully he should respond in an upcoming issue. If I see that he does I will post about it here.
