Myrtle Beach is about 3 hrs away from us so we might join you.

I'm still waiting for this to be posted on the IMAX website. The last thing I heard was they were trying to get a contract and to keep looking at the website. We're all crossing out fingers that we'll get it.

 

Yeah, Universal, you guys may be able to get there quicker than us, if I remember correctly from when I lived in your area.

I'm up for a road trip if I can figure out a time to do it.

 

It's also showing in Atlanta, from what I've noticed. I'm up for either one. Nothing about it here and Discovery Place won't return my calls or talk to me on the phone.

And I think Myrtle Beach would be less crowded than the Atlanta viewings, especially in November.

And if I'm not mistaken, this starts on Nov. 1st, correct?

 

Yeah it would be. I've gone to Myrtle Beach in the Winter and it's empty as a tomb. I might ask anyone at our next meeting if they would be interested in Car Pooling.

HI,
just wanted to let you know that ATOC is confirmed for the Charleston IMAX in Charleston, SC from Nov. 1st-Dec. 24. Our fanforce group is working for a Star Wars day and will let everyone know.

It is about a 3 hour drive for you from Charlotte. This IMAX is located next to the Charleston Aquarium and the Fort Sumpter Tours so there is alot to do. There is also a food court and shops in this complex with a parking garage across the street. A very nice day trip.

I'm up for anywhere, but we need to know so we can go ahead and order tickets, as well as have the FanForce in that area help find us hotel rates and what not..

November, I can actually do, so long as it's not the weekend of the 9th. Any city will be fine by me... I like Charleston and Myrtle Beach and Atlanta so if anyone wants to go, just point me in the right direction and I'll come along!

 

Wherever we go to see it, I am there.

 

I'm up for Atlanta, since I'm always up for meeting new people. I may be going with a few friends to carpool, save gas, and save hotel bills. But MB is fine with me too

 

As I told James earlier today, we in Atlanta may be holding a FanForce event in conjunction with the Mall of Georgia IMAX theater. It's still in the discussion stages. All of you Charlotteans are more than welcome to join us if we manage to pull it together.

As I've said, I'm definately up for going to Atlanta. Any place is good for me, honeslty. Let's not try and get divided, though and have half of us go one place and the other go the opposite, though. This should be an event we all go to together

 

Yes, don't get divided. This will be so much more fun if everyone plans it together.

A bit of good news, if y'all do decide to join us here in Atlanta for the IMAX showing: The Mall of GA is 30 miles Northeast of downtown Atlanta, so if any of you do come down, you won't even have to deal with downtown traffic, not that suburban Atlanta traffic is much better, but it is a bit less annoying.

 

The first two weekends in November are shot for me, but these next two weekends should be workable. When are you looking at, Mandy?

 

If I'm not mistaken, she was looking at premiere day (Nov 2nd, I think)....

 

James is correct. We will most likely be holding a special event during the premiere weekend, probably on Nov. 2nd.

Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones

IMAX theater at Exploris, Raleigh, NC

Premier : Friday November 1st, 4PM, 6:30PM, 10 PM.
All shows after premiere day will at the same times, 4PM, 6:30 PM, and 10 PM.

Tickets : $11 Adults
$ 1 discount for students / seniors
$ 8 youth

Advance tickets to Exploris members go on sale Oct. 18
General public tickets go on sale October 25.

For those who do not have Exploris museum memberships, they are $50 for individuals, $95 for families. All costs of this membership are tax deductible.

Benefits to Exploris museum memberships:
Members get free admission to the museum for 1 year, and buy 1 get 1 free tickets to IMAX showings including Attack of the Clones.

I'll need volunteer assistance in putting up official posters around town. Contact me now if you are able to help.
