Yeah, it does. I was afraid there would be another attack today, but thankfully, it seems now that that isn't the case. :)

What do you guys think about the possibility of terrorism in Canada? I think if it did happen, it would almost surely be Toronto, Have the CN Tower fall into the Skydome during a game or something. But, I think it is highly unlikely that will happen. There are just so many targets out there that the terrorists would choose over Toronto. Most of them are in America and Israel. They don't like us very much because we've been supporting the Americans and we support Israel, but I'm quite sure they hate America and Israel more than Canada, which is good, because we arn't really ready to fend off a major attack.

Think isn't exactly the word I would use...desparately wishing I was back home in America, instead of on an island in the middle of nowhere...there are no words I can say that could describe how I feel right now...a combination of utter sadness, deep mourning, just everything...I'm waiting to tape the President's address now...

Well I think it was really good to hear the stories of the heros of 9/11 and see some coverage, but yes I agree there is a point when you can have sensory overload and have a need to watch something else!!

Speaking of Canadians, does anyone know technically which city is more populated, Toronto or Montreal?

Toronto, of course. There are over 3 million people living in Toronto. That city alone has over 10% of the Canadian population. Montreal doesn't even come close.

I think we, Montreal, are about 1.5 million not even close to Toronto. Toronto is HUGE and Spread thin like a pancake. Where as Montreal is smaller but denser then Toronto. Montreal has a huge Underground City thats why Montreal FF is called Montreal Underground Knights ;)

Actually they are pretty close in population when you take in the city plus its suberbs. According the encyclopedia, Toronto area has 3.75 million people. The Montreal area has 3.25 million people. That's a fact!

That is true though as stated above Toronto is bigger!

So we know Ontario and Quebec are the most populated Provinces, do you want to take a guess and tell me what is the 3rd most populated Province?

I've lived in BC, and I can say there's more bears living in the province than people.

Nevertheless, BC has the third largest population, followed by Alberta. BC has just over 4 million (where the heck are they?) and Alberta has just over 3 million. The lowest is Nunavut, with 28,000. That's about 1 person for every 100 square kilometres. Good if you like privacy.

Well, that came out of nowhere. Thanks, CNN. :p ;)

I read the text of Bush's speech. I must admit, it was a good one. Time will tell if he'll get anything out of it though. I'm confident that Chretien will keep us out of it though.

I have been to Washington state, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and upper New York state. The farthest south that I have ever been in North America is Detroit.

Where did you go in Michigan, just Detroit? I am from Michigan that is where I grew up.

Bush did have a pretty good speech. Like you said we'll have to see how convincing he was.

I entered Michigan in Duluth, drove through to Sault Ste. Marie via Marquette on my way to Montreal from Winnipeg. On the way back, I entered through Detroit, drove up past Mackinaw City, and west to Wisconsin. All I remember is nothing but trees on the side of the highway. That, and many small towns all over the place. You don't see that in Canada. Here, it's just fields.

Yeah Michigan is a beautiful state...well except for Detroit is unfortunatly not all that beautiful anymore!
Going through Detroit you must of also gone through Windsor, Canada. I've been there 8 times? That was the place to go before you were 21 so you could have fun at the bars there and drink. We thought it was such a great thing back then! :)

There is a really cool Fort not to far from Windsor, Fort Malden, Amherstburg .

I only played one slot machine once, just to say I did. I mostly just walked around with my dad.

The exact location in upstate New York that I was in was Lake Placid. We just went down for the day from Montreal.
