OK, for my fanfilm i need some fx programs. I need A cheap lightsaber/laserbolt/other random fx(i have used axogon but axidently deleted it so i need another one unless theres a better one for about £50. I have a full version of Carrara studio 1.1 to do 3d animation but it is not that good. Any suggestions?
My budget is about £50 for each progarm, might go abit higher.:D

    TK - Word of advice:

Please do some searching around before posting topics. I normally wouldn't say anything, but you've started topics here and there and for things that have already been discussed and can easily be searched for within the forum.

Not trying to be harsh, but trying to help you in the area of forum decorum. (Hey I'm a poet and had no idea!)

    That is all.

its just i find it hard and i like things to happen fast. And before you say that i am not patient enough to make a fan film me and my friends have made a little film with axogon, just showing off the fx. The fx look abit takky actually but i think the opening crawl scene looks good, it took me ages to get it right with pinacle. Email me at Joe@joehart.co.uk and i'll send you an AVI file if you want.

axogon ... wow, haven't heard that name in a while. ;)

If you intend to continue yoru pursuit of creating films, I would highly suggest that you cave your schillings and purchase After Effects. It's simply the best (and most affordable) consumer level application available for creating nice visual effects, rotoscoping, motion graphics, etc..

Well worth the time it will take you to save the cash. :D

Well, if you are a student, there are some hefty discounts to be found at JOURNEY ED and/or CREATION ENGINE.

Of course, there's always your Birthday. :D

Personally I would save up my money and buy the Adobe collection from one of the academic software sites, like here http://www.academicsuperstore.com/
