13 penalties is inexcusable. I mean, Clifton had 4, including two for not lining up on the line of scrimmage. How does Clifton, who has been in the league for like 10 years, not line up on the line of scrimmage? Twice! Red Zone offense was bad, five opportunities, 1 TD, 4 FG. Against the Lions they should be scoring on at least three of those chances. There are major problems with the OL, and I'm not sure if Tauscher alone will be enough to fix them.

    Packers win.

ViQueens lose, and Brent Farve throws a pick six to lose the game.

    Bears are getting crushed.

    Its a good football day.

If it was me, after this week, Clifton would not go back onto the field. The rookie, TJ Lang played better today then Clifton has all year. And the line as a whole played much better. They actually ran the ball, and 0 sacks of Rodgers. Packers looked good today, yeah, it was the Browns, but the defense played very solid, and the team was down to only 8 penalties.

Yeah, it was a great game in every aspect.

It's just unfortunate that it came against the browns, everyone will still discredit us now. lol

Ok first off I am not here to rub salt in the wounds but there is something that has bothered me about the whole Favre Packers mess. In my view both are to blame after all it does take 2 to cause problems. Now with that said you have Packer fans booo Favre burning his jersey ect. If it wasnt for Favre back in the early 90's with all due respect the Packers wouldnt have the fan base they have now just like without Peterson or Moss it would be the same. When the day does come that he does finally retire and go into the hall of fame no matter what he does with the Vikings for this year (maybe next) he will be remembered as a Packer not a Viking even though those 2 Packer Viking games were sweet not a Jet. As painful as it is to admit but Favre was a hell of a QB for the Packers he made the games fun to watch as is Rogers is get him some line protection and hes going to be one hell of a qb. The bottom line with sports now a days is its not about the team its about the money. You rarley see teams go a entire career like you did in the days of Walter Payton Barry Sanders Kirby Puckett and Robin Yount. I mean I am convinced that Adrian will be gone one day hopefully not to the Pack but thats just the nature of the beast now. So the best thing to do is charish all the memories and enjoy the ride.

Wrong. You know how long the waiting list for season tickets is for the Packers? Something like 40 years. People put there names down so there grand kids can get tickets when they get older. This is a team that has always sold out Lambeau Field, even with Lindy Infante leading them to a 4-12 record, they were playing before sold out Lambeau Field. From 1968-1991, they had something like five winning seasons. Yet, Lambeau Field always sold out, the season ticket waiting list got longer, people still loved and watched. This team has had a rabid and loyal fan base since before Favre was even an idea, and they will be there long after he's gone. He did not build this franchise, or even strengthen it. Since 1960, they have never not sold out Lambeau. I don't think any team in the NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL can make that claim.

Yes, Favre won us a Super Bowl, and I loved it, and he's still the best QB I've personally seen. But, if I was in Lambeau yesterday, I would have booed him loud as I could. Basically, he gave the fans the bird and went to play for a rival, only because he didn't like our GM, who along with the coach, wouldn't let him run the team, like previous coaches did. They had this silly notion, that they should be in charge, not the QB. So, screw him. He can come back in a few years, we'll retire his number, put him on the Ring of Fame with Lombardi, and Starr, and Curly Lambeau. But he'll never be loved by the fans the same way he would have been two years ago. They'll cheer, but not like they would have. Yes, he'll be considered with greatest QB to ever play for the Packers, but people will hold Bart Starr in higher regard, they'll point to the class Bart Starr has always shown, and the love he had and has for the fans. Favre will never be the legend in Green Bay that he was.

Brett Favre made the Packers? Wrong. The Packers made Brett Favre. Without a GM in Ron Wolf that was willing to take a chance on some kid riding the Falcons' bench, who knows when he would even be a starter? Without Mike Holmgren and his staff to work with him, he might become just another guy with a strong arm but throws 30 INTs a season. If Favre never joins the Packers, he's barely a blip on the NFL radar.

The dumbest thing that I never did when living back in Wisconsin was get season tickets to the Pack at County Stadium. Had I done that, I would have a couple of tickets to the Pack every year. I did get to see the Cowboys play vs the Pack there once. So weird that they used to do that.

That was embarrassing. Offense was bad, Defense was bad, Special Teams was bad, Coaching was bad. With every game it gets easier and easier for me to join the "Fire McCarthy and Thompson" group.

    I'm in.

Remember that scene in Casino where DeNiro drags Sharon Stone by her hair and kicks her out of the house. That's how I want Thompson and McCarthy to go.

Where has the defense been. ALL. SEASON. Wow, if they played like this every week, they'd be undefeated. They are just manhandling the Cowboys today. Pressure, turn overs, run stopping. Outstanding defense today.

3 wins in a row after a bat down of the Lions today, and they've gotten themselves in contention for a wild card spot. The defense is playing better, and the O-line is playing better. Less penalties, less Aaron Rodgers getting killed. The loss of Al Harris will hurt, but if they can continue to put pressure on the QB the way they have, they'll be able to work around it. Now if they could only find a way to score TDs consistently in the red zone, they might be in real good shape.

Well apart from the five minute stretch where they tried to give the game away, it was a pretty dominant effort.

Yeah, pretty good game for the defense, minus the penalties. That was a rather horribly reffed game. Most of those were tick-tack, especially some that went the Pack's way. Rodgers looked pretty good, other than a few over-throws and the picks. Granted the second was a little flukish, despite it being under-thrown. O-Line did really well, too. Finley and Matthews are beasts! And Raji had a great game. Imagine how good they'd be without all those damn penalties. Crosby needs to start making his FGs, and special teams need to learn how to cover a kick-off. Things are looking up, and the Pack have some momentum to build on. The game against Pittsburgh was looking like a for sure loss, but the way the Steelers have played without Polamalu, they can win that game. Go Packers!

Crap... injury to Harris really came back to bite them in the a. @ least the offense played pretty good outside of the dropped passes. Hope they don't lay an egg next week against the Sea-chickens

A pretty incredible final few minutes yesterday, even though it didn't end in the Packers' favor.

One thing stands out to me right now. The decision to keep Jarret Bush and cut Anthony Smith in the preseason. I don't know how this guy keeps making the team. They claim he's this grat special teams player, but he's really not. And he's never been worth a damn in coverage. That first pass play to Mike Wallace, he stopped running while the ball was in the air. He stopped. That was how Wallace got good separtion. That is inexcusable. He is a total liabilty on the field. You could almost se Rothlisberger line up, and look for #24, because that's where he was going, because he knew that was a completion. This guy shouldn't be on the field, he has no football skills what so ever.

(no, I wasn't the one who made the request. That wouldn't make much sense, now, would it?)

I was amused when ESPN the magazine came today with a big picture of Aaron Rodgers on the cover right under the headline "The Messiest Divorce In Sports". I'm pretty sure the headline's referring to the McCourts (Dodgers owners), though I haven't actually read it to find out ;)

This is gonna hurt the team

Johnny Jolly not only had one of the coolest names in the NFL, but he also clogged up the middle, giving us one of our best run defenses in recent memory. crap.

You know what's even better then a Packers win? Brett Farve throwing 3 picks and losing a fumble that's returned for a TD.

Good game today, but eventually this team is going to need a running game.

Yeah, losing Grant hurt us big. I've never been too fond of Brandon Jackson, and the fact that the fullback outplayed him yesterday isn't a good sign.
