I wish you guys were going on a Saturday. It would have been better for me. Sundays are never good for me.

 

Ken and I are still working out logistics, so hopefully he can make it.

I will definitely be there, probably around 4. As I have only had 1 day off since DragonCon, I will need meat and cheese. Chrissy, call me (I'll be home after 6, unless I go in search of more pirate gear at party stores) or PM me and let me know what to bring. Seems like chips and soda are covered, shall I do veggies and dip?

Ok I'm hoping the following will be enough:

2 Dozen hoagie rolls - straight from Philly
2 jars Cheez Whiz
My deli slicer - the best way to cut the steak THAT thin
2 bottles Jewish wine - I can't even attempt to spell that word right now!

Chrissy, if we're making french fries, let me know and I'll grab a 3rd jar of the whiz.

We've got some beer coming. But more would certainly not be amiss. We're bringing Yeungling, so if you don't like it, make note and bring something else

Yes, I think, whatever the "regular" stuff is. I may also bring some girly drinks for people like me who don't drink beer. Depends on whether or not I remember. I have 2 packs of provolone and 2 big bags of chips. By Sunday night we won't be able to go home because we won't fit through the doors

 

I know what you mean Minx, I have to restart my low carb diet after this weekend! lol

 

Ok guys, I'v got the caffene free drinks covered, I thought about bringing some beer myself, but I tend to act like a moron after a few(or so I'm told).

 

Who the hell needs beer to act like a moron?!? I sure don't

 

I always thought you drank beer to nuture your inner moron...

 

That's the beauty of the GS - with or without beer, we can act like morons along with the best of them!!

So, what's the plan for tomorrow? What time is everyone plannning on showing up at Ren Fest? When and where should we meet?

Myself, I'm going to get there as early as I can, which with me, means anywhere between 10 AM and noon.

I just wanted to say how much fun I had again with everyone and sorry to those I didn't get the chance to say bye to as I was leaving.

I still can't believe how well a party about cheesesteaks went off!


I'm looking forward to the day when I get my degree and move down there to do these things more often.

how was the ren faire?? did you guys have a good time? I'm guessing you did, it's the COWs afterall.

 

Oh gosh, it was so much fun! Lots of window shopping and goodie eating! Lots of laughs too. The ride up and back was a little adventure though. I think I got cut off about 3 times. Wow, just amazing. And Chas took us the side streets home as 495 was all corked up. Now I want a GPS too, LOL.

There were many pretty costumes at the fair and it was great and all, but man that dust was pretty brutal. Eugenia, Stephanie and I got henna tattoos. I got a tribal sun, Eugenia got grape vines around her ankle and Steph got a fire breathing dragon on the back of her hand. Mine's lovely still. Steph did yours set in?

Anyway, I think it was a real success! Next time I want to go in costume, everyone did a great job with theirs!

 

Yeah Chrissy I hope to have time to get a costume together for next year as well. Now just have to get my 501st & Dragon Con costumes done first.

 

My henna looks amazing. The coloring is lighter where the cracks in the paste were, so it really does look like scales. Very cool

 

That sounds awesome Minx, it looked cool with the mud still on.

So I was running late as usual for the party and then got kicked out os the renn faire. It was a pretty typical weekend for me. But I did enjoy seeing you guys again no matter how briefly.
