    That’s such an odd callback for an adaptation to choose for its source.

    It’s almost like having a kids book version of River of Chaos.

    Now that TLJ made being trapped below ground mainstream, I guess there are...many sources of such trauma available for children.

    Not sure what you're referring to- Rey wasn't trapped in the mirror cave. Unless you mean the Crait base? I guess that's technically underground, but not much different than Echo Base.
