Main problem with right after the ending is that The Thrawn Trilogy is set only 5 years after RoTJ.

 

I thought the beginning of the Thrawn trilogy started five years after ROTJ! Are you telling me the entire trilogy transpires within a year?

Get out! I just started reading the trilogy it. I didn't know all three books happen with the same year! Ok I guess it does happen way after that then.

 

Regardless, I don't think that Wookie Yoda was training in TCW made it past Anakin's visit to the Temple after becoming Vader in episode III.

I'm sure the EU will jump on the opportunity and give us thirty five comics and seven action figures and a lunchbox detailing his origins.

 

I'd rather see them as Sith. The anger over their father never getting a medal for his efforts to defeat the Empire and blow up the Death Star drives them to the Dark Side and on a quest to destroy the evil new Republic, since a government who would ignore the contributes of one of his greatest hero has no right to exist.

 

The concept of a force sensitive offspring of Chewie just reminds me of Lowbacca.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Wookie Jedi at all. In fact I think that would be kind of interesting! Knowing their methods for constructing weapons, I would be interested in seeing how a Wookiee would construct a light saber...

As a sidenote I wanted to say this: I have a thought that the EU will be treated similarly to Marvel and DC comics, when compared to their respective recent movies. for example, the dark Knight trilogy used some obvious elements from certain Batman Graphic novels. but a lot of different parts of the story were changed up, or things about the characters were made differently... I would expect that's how the sequel trilogy may treat the EU as well-which would be fine with me...

I still think it would be very difficult to actually film that, even if you used CGI, due to the size of the Hutts.

 

Spaceships are larger, yet they somehow manage to CGI them

 

Jedi Hutts could use their special "snot projectiles" to immobilize their opponents.

 

Force sensitive Wookies would be epic.

 

Nah, The Wookie Jedi does not hit a home run for me. I like my wookies as sidekicks or brothel attendants!!

 

Hutt Jedi, Rodian Jedi, Wookie Jedi, Gungan Jedi, Dug Jedi, Duros Jedi, at least one more Yoda-species Jedi, and Pau'an Jedi. Those are some species I'd like to see as part of the new Order.
