GREETINGS FELLOW FANS, Once again it's time for Chicago Force to start gearing up for our annual participation with the Greater Chicago Food Depository's annual Walk For Hunger. There's three major ways you can participate: 1-VOLUNTEER Volunteers show up early and help walkers register, hand out T-Shirts & Water and help out in other needed ways. Also, local Star Wars costumers volunteer to entertain the kids (and adults). 2-WALK Walkers show up and walk for the cause to raise money to support the food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and other organizations that feed the hungry in Chicago. Most walkers find friends, family and co-workes to sponsor them and pledge money for their participation. 3-DONATE If you can't make it that day, you can always make a pledge to one of Chicago Force's walkers. OK, if you are going to volunteer for this year's Hunger Walk please let me know via PM or Email ASAP. If you volunteered last year you wont need to attend training (unless you want to). This year's line registration system will be even simpler than last year. A group of us from the Midwest Garrison will be there costuming. Basically, we will meet & greet and pose for pictures with the participating groups who are walking in the event. We aim to get there around 7:30am and hope to be meeting & greeting by 8.
Zephyr Cafe will be the spot for Beer & Ice Cream after the Hunger Walk. From Noon to whenever. They have a parking lot across the street. Directions: Start: Lake Shore Drive & Montrose 1.
