Chiss Claw craft from concept

I thought I'd try the model from the concept art, so you'll forgive the same topic, but it's a different model. It's an early WIP with hardly any detailing on at the moment, but enough to show a general shape forming:

Still a long way to go, but it's coming on nicely. The rear will be most difficult as I'm working from the one sketch, and the cockpit I'll just basically copy from a TIE - got to be similar.


While I'm here, does anyone know where there are more images of this ship, from any source? It might help the modeling, and definately the surfacing of this thing.

Very nice texturing and detail, is it finished?

 

textures on the wings should be curved, it should flow with the design/contour

Oooo nowhere near finished. Got a major amount of detailing to do all around the model. The textures are temporary, especially the wings. I'm going to have to do a lot of work on those textures I think, but the panelled look doesn't sit well with me - I think I'll tone it down.

Other than what was already mentioned, the only thing that sticks out at me is the frame for the, uh, windshield. IMO, it needs to be beefed up. It looks too thin.

Ryan, I bet you wished you had this model, don't you?

 

I guess those struts are a little on the thin side when looking at the concept art. I'll thicken them a little before doing further detailing on them. Next is some major detailing around the rear - most of it just artistic license as I've yet to see a rear shot of this ship.
