Here's the IEFF's Official 20th Anniversary 2010 CHOC Walkers

This is our biggest year as in walkers we've ever had...11 people! Great job everyone! Okay, so here's the final plans on what's what for the walk. I've pretty much spoken with all of you about what we're doing but just incase anyone has forget anything, here ya go:


I'm driving to the Kia dealership in Irvine on Friday afternoon to pick up everyones t-shirts and wristbands that's walking. You'll need these for entry into the park to be able to walk CHOC.


Ronnie + Nikol as well as ourselves will be getting a room the night before. We'll caravan over to the parking structure and meet up with everyone whose showing up the morning of at the bottom of the escalators at the the parking structure where you'd take the tram to the park.


We'll meet up at 5:45am and walk the tram route to the entrance of the park to get in line on main street by 6:15am. This is extremely important ----> Please be there on time as we will not wait.


This is the 5th year the IEFF has walked this and every year we're at the front of the line and we want to continue this fine tradition. I know this is early, but have some coffee and get your fun on!!! This will be like nothing you'd ever done or seem before!!!

I forgot to mention, for all those who have IEFF black shirts, please wear them. For all those who don't have an IEFF t-shirt, if you've got a black T-shirt or Star Wars shirt, that would be fine too. This way we match as close as possible.

 

Ronnie and I can't go to Disneyland after CHOC but would not mind going to breakfast after. Any takers?

 

Oh yeah for sure. We'll go to Carrows across the street from the park after. For all whose walking, you're all invited. FYI...we've got another walker and his name is Sean and he works with Allen. That puts us at 12, count them, 12 Walkers...wahooo!!!!

 

Kool. Ronnie and I are all paid up for CHOC walk.

Heading to Disneyland to line up for CHOC in 4 hours, I can't wait!

 

11 people fountains them 11 representing the IEFF at CHOC this year that's our biggest turnout since we have been here. You all rock!!!

 

WE ALL MADE IT!!! What a great time, thank you everyone that walked it was awesome and thank you to everyone who donated as well.

 

I want to say a big thank you for all who made this year to CHOC making it our BEST YEAR EVER!!! I think the only way this could've been better is if the rest of you who couldn't be there with us, were there with us!


We ended up with 11 walkers and raised $745.

Everyone was on time (wahooo) and had their fun time attitudes ready to go! We had an awesome group with lots of energy that kept everyone going!

I'll have photos up this evening for all to see and as always, they were great!

So glad to hear that you all raised that much, great going. So sorry we could not be there, but I am sure you all had a great time. Maybe next year, we will be going.

 

Okay as promised, here's the pics from The IEFF's 5th year at CHOC. It was CHOC's 20th year, so this was a milestone for both of us. For them, they raised the most money ever and for the IEFF, we had the most walkers we've ever had. For Sheila and I, it's been a great journey indeed. Who knew that the day I heard about this at our first meeting many years ago, we'd be doing this year after year for FIVE YEARS now...WOW!


I'd like to give a big thank you to all who made the time, sleep, money, etc. sacrifice to be here, you were much appreciated and added to this year's magic that we got to experience. You all made a difference and we had a blast walking with you all.
