The little Astromech deserves his own thread.



How do you feel about him in Rebels so far?

 

He is a murder that is all.

 

Chopper's a psychopath. I'm speculating that he's been programmed with some assassin droid protocols. Or he is actually an assassin droid left over from the CIS arsenal.

 

He is actually HK-47 in disguise: Meatbag.

 

Is there a reason that Chopper's voice is a secret? At Celebration VII, Dave Filoni whispered it into a little girl's ear.

 

Maybe Filoni voices Chopper.

 

I suspect that was teasing the crowd... And making the cute little girl feel special. I suspect he said something like, "Chopper does his own voice."

 

Maybe no one does Chopper's voice....maybe it is computer generated.

 

I feel bad for chopper only 2 pages.

 

The most developed character so far in Rebels imo. Something to laugh or to crie?!

 

That would be an epic twist that I approve of.

 

it would be funny if he was a sepretatist counterpoint to the droids of d squad.

 

I was skeptical about Chopper at first and he really annoyed me but as I worked my way through Rebels I've grown to not only like him but love him. Love how he looks quite badly put together like some kid on Tatooine got bored and used spare parts around the house and maybe a few bits and pieces from a scrap yard to build him. He has a lot of personality and character and definitely has a mind of his own!

Wouldn't even be opposed to having him show up in the new trilogy somewhere..

Chopper is racking up his killcount rather rapidly. He's going to have his own bounty soon.

 

How do we know there isn't a bounty for him yet?

 

Chopper is a nutty droid, probably the most bloodthirsty of the Ghost crew.

 

...maybe he's a vampire droid.

 

Chopper is fun to watch because he's so grumpy.

 

It would be nice to come across one astromech, modded to have the ability to speak basic if it chose to. That being said, Chopper is great and I hope he stays functional for years to come.

 

Chopper is actually the chosen one.

 

I really, really hate this character. I honestly do not understand his inclusion in the show (calling him a poor man's R2-D2 would be compliment); Zeb I can understand, especially his emotional and tragic reason for joining the rebels and hating Kallus.

There is no reason for Chopper to be on the show. Apart to fuel a burning, deep and potential unnatural hatred deep inside me.

 

Ya know, that would be reason enough for Chopper.

 

But the fun of astromechs is that you can't understand what they are saying. That's why I love R2 and Chopper so much!

 

Maybe that fun is for you, but I can get a basic feel for what an astromech is saying. I've had over three decades of listening to them.
