Christmas Dinner

Yeah, that's right, i'm ripping off the Midlanders idea.

So who would be interested in attending this function?

It would be in Cardiff, either on the 17th or 10th of December.

I picked dates that fall on a Saturday, meaning that hopefully more people will attend.

I'm open to suggestions as to where to eat, but I was thinking that in order to keep costs down, yet still have a decent sit down around a table, somewhere like Pizza Hut might be a good idea.

I think it's about time us Welsh had a get together. After all, we can't let those smelly Midlanders have all the fun.

10th might not be a good idea cos there's that massive gig in the stadium with oasis and foo fighters so town will be packed. However i can't make the 17th cos i'll probably visit my sister for her birthday on the 15th so the 10th would suit me more.

Any idea what time the show is on at the stadium? If its on at, say 7pm, then if we get into town and arrange to have a meal at 1pm, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

 

It starts at midday i think and runs until about 11pm, it's an all-day job

Ok, what about a Sunday instead? Pizza Hut will still be open and there won't be quite so many Christmas shoppers about.

Has your father thought about talking to Cardiff and telling it how he feels?

They can work it out, but only if ther start talking to each other.

Not to sure about the train service on a Sunday. I think they do run, but it might be an idea to check the train times.

Seriously i know i have another Xmas do to go to but they havent finalised dates yet. So far its looking good that ill be able to do both.

Happy-Ninja: What we could do is have one big Wales/Midland get together sometime. Maybe a paintballing fight or eating contest.

But yeah, but on topic. I think an inter fanforce chapter meeting would be a cool idea.

bristol is a bit far south. i can`t seem to find an online map of the uk for some reason (probably cos i am crap) but i have a road atlas somewhere i can have a mooch in.

the more i think about this idea, the better it sounds. as i said to mark, this could be the beginning of a new era of inter chapter rivalry. once the northern and southern chapters get more established the more intense the competition could become. soon we will have "it`s a knockout" on our hands!!

I think the idea of a inter-chapter meet is a great one, as for the competition I'm not so sure. Oh and no offence but I'll travel almost anywhere other than Wales and Chester.

 

would telford be acheivable for everyone? it`s between us all, and there will probably be pizza hut or similar. my other question is: should there be a new thread for this, to avoid de-railing this one any further, and a matching thread on the midlands board?
