FF:NZ Christmas - how did it go?

So, what did everyone get up to? Get anything interesting?

I got myself a waterproof shower radio

 

Same Old, Same old

Ate Meat untill I was ready to burst then got home and slept the whole afternoon!

I got a new computer w00t!

 

Well i sort of remember my Christmas Eve, went out on the town and caught up with heaps of old school mates... so it went late.

All the family together, especially good to see my sister back from London. Brother got me some sw figures which was good. Hangover wasn't too bad, ate too much caught up on some sleep, woke up and now here I am.

Planning on driving down to the Boxing Day test in Welly tomorrow

Food Food Food. Got Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 on DVD, plus some LOTR coins.

Eh, nothing special. I wanted to go out and get a burger for lunch but then remembered the shops are closed. The real Christmas shopping starts from today.

Christmas kinda sucked this year.

A serious lack of family and I kinda felt really blas-a (spelling?) about the whole thing.

Food was ok, but I really just wasn't in the mood and it kinda dawned on me x-mas is over-rated really.

It's usually a great time of year to be with family members we hardly see year-round, but without that it was kinda average and without that fact there was little to celebrate really we we're not religeous.

Strange really.

Sorry, but just how I kinda felt at the time and feel now.

My brother probably had the worst Christmas of anyone I know. He had to work, so he couldn't come down to be with us (he's a doctor), and he had to endure hospital provided Christmas dinner which he said tasted awful. He also had a raging fever, which broke out into chicken pox the next day (caught it from a patient, and wasn't aware you could get it twice). Yet despite being in this sad state, he still had to work, because the rural health system in NZ is so stretched there was no one to relieve him. Luckily he's resting up now, but geez ... the moral is, don't be surprised if your doctor turns out to be sicker than you when entering hospital during the holiday season.

 

I had a great 2 week break, spent most of it up in nelson and marlborough, lots of sun and fishing!. sucks to be back at work today

even though the boss is away this week, starting back at work in the new year is a real downer. I need a new job.

 

Ditto! I'm sooooo over my job, sick of being a corporate whore!

Work is good.

Me loves my job, and why wouldn't I? I get to play games when we're not busy and take them home to try out, it's B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T-!
