Christmas in July...... The Annual RMFF BBQ - Satuday July 16th 3pm at The Fetts House

It is now time to start talking about the Annual RMFF BBQ.

So I was thinking it would be fun to have a theme this year. That theme would be Christmas in July. In July you always see the Christmas in July sales around and people just talking about Christmas in July. So it is time for the RMFF to do christmas in July.

So there will be a Christmas tree in the back yard with Christmas lights all around and maybe on the side of the house we could play a christmas movie like Christmas Vacation. Just an idea. Also I thought it would be fun to do White Elephant. I always have so much fun with it, plus it is the summer so who know what different types of crazy gifts can be found.

I was thinking Mexican food would be good. We will provide a Taco Bar, Green Chili and Chicken Enchiladas. We where thinking a date of July 16th. That is the third weekend in July. So let me all know what you think. We can't do the weekend before which is the 9th. But we can do the weekend after the 16th, which is the 23rd if the 16th does not work for the majority of people.

So let us discuss the Annual BBQ or in this case just Party.

 

I also heard that this is the 10year anniversary of the RMFF, so we should make it a special one.

I vote for the weekend of July 16. This being the 10th anniversary, I am considering maybe possibly trying to come out. I can't come the weekend of the 23rd though.

 

Well if that's the case, then it's the 16th

We may be out of town on the 23rd ish weekend as well.

As I am expecting another padawan to be born around that time (and something else even more personal looming), my actual presence is in question, but I am going to be sure to send along my Hot Elephant gift.

 

16th works for me. Just let us know where. Guess I'll have to bring the Mexican wedding cookies (good for more than just weddings).

 

Poodoo. My sister is bring her husband and two friends to some music convention in C Springs and wants to crash at my place that night and go on to Springs Sunday morning....

My parents will be visiting that weekend...going to the Ren Faire! Maybe the next one though

 

I'll definitely try to make it.

 

I know -- I don't want to miss the 10th anniversary! Maybe if it gets timed right I can come for a while, at least. If it was just my sister and her husband, I'd drag them along, but the other couple are total civilians....

 

I can probably make it on the July 16th.

Now as far as Hot Bantha goes. No live critters, if you bring a live critter or even a dead one it will be cooked and you will have to eat it.

It sucks that you can't make it and others for sure. Unfortunantly it is the summer time and it is hard to get a date that works for everyone.

But the guilt trip.... come on....
