Christmas Meet up in Middlesbrough - Pizza and Pool - 29/12/06

I think we are looking at the Taven again (Home of the Knights of the round Table)
Hopefully they will be selling the Pizza's again !

Should we all meet up in the Taven ?

 

Well, we all know where it is so I don't see why not. If any new members turn up though, we'll need to find somewhere to meet them.

 

We could meet in the afternoon, so people who can't do the evening can join in??? Don't know what Middlesbrough's like for shopping though!
I haven't got a clue where anything is in Middlesbrough, so I imagine I'll come down on the train (or if train times are rubbish, I'll come in the car!)

 

I'll be at work on that Fri Then again I'd probaly be to broke to come anyway so never mind

 

For those who dont know Boro to well - How about we meet up outside Forbidden Planet ?

slowly heading up towards the Taven for a set time ?

 

Problem is Dave, how are people who don't know Boro supposed to find Forbidden Planet? Those who don't know Boro can be met at train stations/bus stations etc.

 

That part did come to me as I was away from the pc !
Some members are going to have to meet up with ither me and jace and head to forbidden planet then !

Given that I no doubt will be heading to Middlesbrough via train, I can meet anyone else coming through either on the train or at the station.

 

if we have something on the afternoon i'll be coming in via train and i know boro pretty well so i'll meet people at the station

Well, looks like I'll have to come in the car, 'cos the last train back to Ncle is at 8.30pm (how rubbish is that!!). I'll have to check with my Dad re borrowing the car- if he's at work, I'll be able to get down there for 5pm(ish) depending on traffic...

 

*Looks puzzled* Are you sure Suez I was on the understanding the last train was 11.30pm ?

 

Suzi, try searching for trains from Boro to Darlo and then to Newcastle. It might come up with a later time.

 

I've looked on the Northern Rail website and the last train on the route you mentioned, Sie, leaves Midds at 21.54 (that gives me reasonable time to catch a Metro from Ncle station).
Is anyone else likely to be getting the train back on this route/time??

 

I'll probably be scrounging a bed at one of my friends' houses, depending on who's still around in the Boro, so I don't think I will be.

 

Suzi - I'll double check with George but I can probably offer you a sleeping bag & settee if thats any use (you don't mind cats do you ?)
