Lets start now on the Christmas party.
Deep Fried Turkey is the main course.
I will need to get my propane tank refilled so I will pay for that.
We will need at least 15-17 LBS turkey.
We will also need (100%) Peanut oil , that will cost around $25.00
I'm sure if we ask Sara Nicely , She will make her famous Mashed Potatoes.

It looks as DECEMBER 13th will be the date.
I will start cooking around 2:30(ish) So I would think you could start showing up at 3pm.

Casey's house looks to be a good place to have it since he has so much living room space.
The back yard has a few flat spots we can rope off and set up the deep frier.

Casey, I will volunteer to do any cooking . We would need to start the deep frier around 4 pm if that is cool. It should take around 50 min to cook a 16 LB bird.
I know we have a few veggie lovers so feel free to bring a dish .
If you guys cant think of anything else , leave a comment.

    Food Edit list:

Eric: Turkey Gravy, Punkin pudding pie, Cajun spice injection kit & Fuel for tank

    Gary: Pasta Salid, Cheese Cubes

    RC/Courtney : Turkey, Stuffing

    Sara: Mashed potatoes

Tim: peanut oil , Home made dinner rolls

    Rea/Amy : Veggie tray, Drinks

    Joe: Pea's

    Ben: Apple Cider

    Entertainment:
I have the following on dvd I can bring.

    A Christmas Story
    A Charile Brown Christmas
    Scrooged (Bill Murry clasic)
    Muppet Christmas Carol
    Elf
    The Santa Clause 1 & 2
Emmit Otter's Jug band Christmas ( Personal favorite)
    Frosty
    Roudouph the red noise raindeer
    South Park Christmas
    Flintstone Christmas
Christmas comes to PacLand ( 1980's pacman cartoon)

    Christmas with the Cranks
    Christmas with the Simpsons

Those mashed potatoes brought about some interesting conversation last year... Haha.

The 13th would especially work because it's right between Thanksgiving and Christmas and thus not overload people with way too much good food.

Assuming I'm coming (and possibly even if I'm not), I can take care of the peanut oil. Sometimes it's good to have a Sam's Club membership. :)

As for dates, technically I'm free both of those weekends, though my December is likely to fill up fast.

Either date is fine with me. I can throw down for the bird, since Eric is cooking if you want. I can bring a side as well.

Anytime on any weekend works for me. I can't think of any other food item I could bring. I can help chip in with anything. I can definitely supply lots of wine. Guess I could buy one of those decent oven-baked frozen pies (not one of the crappy pre-baked stale ones). Wish I knew how to make one from scratch, but I'm totally useless in the kitchen.

Hey all, I got some really good looking Cajun injection kit today from Kroger. It will be very good in the turkey.
also I DONT WANT ANYBODY to feel they should not come because they cant bring any food. We all know that these are tough times. Im sure will will have plenty of food.

I'll be there. With bells on, or.. well, probably not to the bells, but maybe with the mixings for Cider. Or at least store bought cider.

On the topic of what to watch...

A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph are some of my personal favorites.

To add to Eric's list of viewing options, I also have:

    - The Year Without a Santa Claus
    - Opus & Bill: A Wish for Wings that Work

And on a personnel note,,, Joe most likely will not make it because of a surgery for his daughter on Friday.

FYI, I won't be able to arrive at the party till probably after 5; Sara forgot to tell me (or put on our calendar) that there is a family get-together earlier that day. I'll still make and bring rolls, and I have your peanut oil Eric, so I'll need to get that to you sometime this week. I figure since we probably won't be eating till after 5 that it will be OK for me to arrive about that time with the rolls, but if there will be a problem with that let me know and perhaps I could drop them off with Sara B. or something.

I will bring some sort of pasta dish (possible ravioli or something similar) to the dinner. I am not sure what time I will be there yet, but will definitely be there by five or so.
