Where: Botanic Park (off Hackney Road, between the botanic gardens and the zoo).
Time 12.00 onwards
Who? Everyone is invited, bring your family's!

Will see what we can arrange about the Santa thing...Maybe each parent buy their own child a small gift (under $10 or $5 maybe) and will see if a 'santa' type person can appear.....any volunteers?

BYO Food and Drink - or Portable BBQ! Frisbees, Footys, cricket and sleeping under trees!!

I'm a little confused......why do we have two threads for one thing?

I'll see what I can do..not promising anything.

LMK about the Santa thing, as I'm living on a pension, supporting myself and two boys, and have to buy xmas gifts for my family as is, not sure about if I can afford to buy more for the boys.....but let me know anyway...

so this is official then?

There might be gates as you drive into Plane Tree Drive. But don't confuse the Botantic Gardens ( where you do walk through gates and where playing cricket and throwing frisbees is frowned upon) with Botanic Park which is on the right side of Plane Tree Drive.

Thanks DM helps alot.

Opposite the Botanic Gardens, lots of big trees, and pretty quiet most the time.

There is a new thread as that was a discussion of a potential event and to make it an official FF event we need to have a thread on it. Rules etc.... So yeah, this is official now!

If everyone says no Santa, then that's ok. Just a thought, don't need to have one that close to the big day if you don't want one.

What about the 12th? I can change this if teh 12th suits everyone better. Yes? The plans I had for the 12th were actually cancelled today, seems my two nephews don't want to see everyone for thier 18th & 21st....no biggy.

i offered the RG santa but some people might object

Probably very right. But Quinten is talking "Water Wars!" So if you have a 'Supa Soaker' or just a 'water pistol' I suggest you pack it.. And a change of clothes!! Not like Dave-Jedi a few years back who was the central target with no change of clothes, and had to drive home dripping wet as he had no towel either!

cool, have talked to Fox about it, and we'll make it for a couple of hours.....the night before we have a party, so might not be there til about 1 or 2-ish....
and he WILL be packing the water pistol that was used at Norwood pageant.

I'm with M-P about the Santa thing, the kids get enough as is, they really don't need more.....besides, I'll bet I'm not the only one feeling the pinch at the moment!!

here's a thought - just don't sober up.....that way you won't have a hangover until Monday, and then you'll probably only have to work, so they can put up with you feeling all seedy and grumpy!!

It's that time of the year, difficult to get around to seeing everyone - and everyone expects you to be in four places at once!! But we persevere, do the best we can and smile....

Today, The radio show i work for has asked me if i want to do a show on the 12th of december. from 1-4pm. . .

NOW !! I must decided,
